The Center for Leadership and Social Change is seeking students to facilitate service projects for the Community Outreach Program in the upcoming summer and fall semesters. Strong facilitators are critical to the success and growth of the Program. The Community Outreach Program aims to offer at least one service project every day of the week, at different times of day, that address a wide range of community issue areas. Being a facilitator requires a minimum semester-long commitment. Responsibilities include transporting FSU students in Center vans, so having a valid driver license, current auto insurance, and a good driving history are all needed. Other responsibilities include recruiting, informing, educating, supervising and encouraging the students on the project, helping them learn more about the needs of the community, discover what they are passionate about, and inspire them to continue volunteering. It is ideal to have two facilitators for every project, in order to balance the load and responsibility of each facilitator and insure the reliability of the projects.
