We are again planning the traditional Opening Ceremony with the Presentation of Debutantes. For this reason, we strongly urge you to recruit the younger members of your congregations and organizations and their friends to participate in this event as debutantes and escorts. As usual, debutantes and their escorts are the guests of the Ball Committee. Debutantes and their escorts may meet on one occasion prior to the date of the Ball in order to review the essentials of the opening ceremony. We ask the pastors and members of the congregations and organizations to set aside November 1fh for the 51st Ball. Admission for the dinner and dance is sixty-five dollars ($65); dance tickets only are twenty dollars ($20); and student tickets (without dinner) are five dollars ($5). We also invite you to be a Patron of the 51st Hungarian Protestant Ball. A contribution of at least ninety dollars ($90) is requested. A complimentary dinner-dance ticket will be provided to those Patrons who donate one hundred ten dollars ($110) or more. Please inform us of your acceptance by October 31 so that we may include your name in this year's Patron listing. Any contributions received after November 1 will be acknowledged in next year's listing. A reservation card and envelope are enclosed for your convenience for ticket and table reservations (10 people per table). According to the traditions of the Hungarian Protestant Ball, the proceeds from the 8all will be used to provide scholarships to worthy college students. Your support is extremely important and needed; the better the attendance, the larger the Scholarship Fund will be. At last year's Ball, we awarded six (6) scholarships to deserving college and graduate students of Hungarian background from the funds we received from our supporting Patrons and others. Please forward the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of those who wish to participate in this year's Debutante Presentation to anyone of the Committee members, or call Miss Priscilla Hunyady (732-306-6933) or the Rev. Stefan Torok (732-917-4566) or E-mail: [email protected] by October 31 for additional information. Let us all work together to make this 51st Hungarian Protestant 8all a successful and memorable event! Respectfully yours, The Officers and Trustees of the Hungarian Protestant Ball
