Dropsonde

The dropsonde is an instrument released from a tube underneath the aircraft, but it is not a noticeable feature. The sonde itself is about 18”, total length is about 6 feet with the chute deployed…I added one to the sketch at the end, but it is a little larger than it would normally be….don’t make it any larger.

Caribbean Foreground Suggestion

Do Not Include Buildings……this is a resort in the pic!! I don’t want to be accused of advertising!!!

Wind Blown trees & surf during Hurricanes

Unfortunately, this is what we see when we fly storms; it’s not as beautiful as the pics in the previous slide…

In keeping with the travel theme, I was thinking something along the lines of:

“See the Eye of the Storm with the World Famous Hurricane Hunters”

The Caribbean themed picture is OK, but we don’t solely fly missions in the Caribbean.

The squadron patch could go underneath the slogan or at the bottom.

Need to have “53d Weather Reconnaissance Sq” on there as well…maybe at the bottom with art-deco

accents surrounding it to fill the space?
