�� ��ObituaryMARTZ, Janice A. 65, of Montour Falls NY passed away peacefully at Schuyler hospital on Saturday, November 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her son, Jason M. Searle. She is survived by her sis-ters, Karen (Burton) Schoonover of Cayuta, NY, and Linda (Marc) Whitney of Albemarle, NC; her daughter- in- law, De-nise Searle; and four grandchildren, Alexander Rundle, Abi-gail Rundle, Jasmine Searle, and Deven Searle; and her fur friend, Tess. There will be a celebration of her life at a future date and time to be determined by her family. Arrangements are under the direction of Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, Montour Falls. Watkins Glen High School senior Emilee Stephani was honored Thurs-day by the Watkins-Montour Ro-tary Club as its WGHS Student of the Month for November. She was intro-duced by teacher Rebecca Gilfus, who described the honoree as “a leader, a planner and a person who walks the talk.” She commended Stephani for a key role in the success of the recent Homecoming Dance, and said she “is kind and helpful toward other students and respectful toward adults.” Stephani, a member of National Honor Society, Interact and the Student Coun-cil and a High Honor student, plans to attend Corning Community College and then transfer to a four-year school to pursue a degree in criminal psychol-ogy. She thanked Rotary for its interest

in, and encouragement of, area students.
