MEETINGS AND EVENTS COMMITTEE MEETINGS
AOC staff would be more than happy to assist you in scheduling your committee meetings. If you are a committee chair and wish to schedule a meeting during the conference, please contact Mackenzie at 615-741-2687. It is the committee chairperson’s responsibility to notify their committee members of the scheduled meeting. It is becoming increasingly difficult, however, to locate space for meetings and to schedule committee meetings during the conferences to avoid meeting time conflicts for judges that are on more than one committee. Please consider holding your committee meetings by phone or video conference prior to the annual conference. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE FINALIZED BY WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 2016. CURRENT COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULE: Tuesday, September 20, 2016, Executive Committee Meeting from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016, Education Committee Breakfast Meeting from 7:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION CREDIT

Tour of UT Football Facilities On Thursday, September 22nd at 1:30 p.m. there will be a 90-minute tour of the University of Tennessee Football practice facilities. The tour will be led by Associate Athletics Director Chris Fuller. Our group will leave from downtown Knoxville via private shuttle and arrive at the Anderson Training Center on the campus of UT. We will proceed to a special welcome presentation in the Ray and Lucy Hand Digital Studios and then tour the Anderson Training Center. This will include the practice field and other areas, subject to availability, such as the weight room, training room, therapy centers, locker room and other adjacent areas. This will be an exciting time at the University of Tennessee, as the tour will be conducted just a mere 48 hours before the kick- off of the Tennessee Volunteers vs. Florida Gators. As a matter of protocol, please wear your orange and white and refrain from wearing any other team gear, especially that of our opponent. Subject to coaching obligations and practice schedules, attendees may get the opportunity to observe and meet members of the team and coaching staff. Please be respectful of their upcoming battle on that Saturday. This is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the inner workings of Tennessee Football. The tour is free, and transportation will be provided.
Tour of the Historic Tennessee Theatre On Thursday, September 22nd at 3:30 p.m. there will be a 90-minute tour of the magnificent Tennessee Theatre. The Theatre first opened its doors on October 1, 1928, and it was hailed as the "South's most beautiful theatre." In 2005, the Theatre completed a $25.5 million-dollar renovation funded through public and private donations. The Tennessee Theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and honored as the official state theatre of Tennessee. The tour will be led by Theatre manager Tom Bugg and will likely have an appearance by Chancellor Emeritus Bill Snyder, performing on the theatre's Mighty Wurlitzer, one of the world's best known pipe organs. This event is free and will immediately follow the UT Athletic Facility Tour. Transportation from UT to the Theatre will be provided. If you only want to attend the theatre tour, it is located at 604 S Gay Street, within walking distance from the Hilton.
