A trade fair is only successful with plenty of interested visitors. That's why we run extensive marketing and PR campaigns to raise the profile of the “hanseboot brand” to an even higher level and to attract as many water sports enthusiasts as possible to hanseboot 2016.

Making waves.

We are launching a carefully targeted package of marketing and PR measures in a bid to guarantee that hanseboot 2016 will be a greatsuccess for us and for you:

• Advertisements (in trade magazines and daily newspapers)

On course for Hamburg: people you will meet at the hanseboot exhibition.

Sailing close to the wind: how we promote our trade fair for you.

You can look forward to meeting water sports enthusiasts at the hanseboot exhibi-tion because our visitors – and your potential new customers – are not only characterised by a general interest in water sports but 92 % are actively engaged in water sports. 64 % of those who practice water sports even have their own boat and so are more than merely competent in the field.

High average income and huge appetite for buying.

Present your products to an audience of peo-ple who are more than well-off – because the typical hanseboot visitor has an above-aver-age net household income of over € 4,800. Newcomers have even greater financial re-sources at their disposal (almost € 5,500 on average). There is also an extremely healthy appetite for buying: 47 % of the visitors have purchased or ordered something at the trade fair or have a firm intention of doing so.

The varied programme at the fair has plenty on offer for beginners and professionals alike and therefore attracts visitors to Hamburg with a wide range of interests. No wonder then that 94 % of the exhibitors claim to have achieved their aims of gaining publicity and raising their profile.

Hamburg – the gateway to the world of water sports.

Germany's second largest city with nearly two million inhabitants and its central location in the North is the perfect place to hold a water sports trade fair. Hamburg is the largest seaport in Germany with a history of close links with shipping, plays host to regular water sports events and is home to respected sailing clubs with top yachtsmen and yachtswomen.

Water sports have always been very popular in the neighbouring federal states in northern Germany and in Denmark – and it stands to reason given their proximity to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Indeed, when asked to identify the main water sports areas which they used most frequently, the Baltic Sea and the North Sea were named by 66 % and 31 % of the hanseboot visitors respectively.

Good connections, even better networks.

The Hanseatic City is not only a major interchange with an interna-tional airport and excellent infrastructure but it is also a cosmopolitan city which brings a fresh flood tide of inspirations every day. Shopping, culture, nightlife – Hamburg has a huge span of attractions and high-lights which seems as vast and endless as the horizon. And the water is only ever a stone's throw away.

Anchored in the heart of Hamburg.

The Hamburg Messe exhibition ground is at the centre of this booming metropolis. Not far from the Alster and Elbe rivers, between the city centre and trendy neighbourhoods, the fairground location evokes a special atmosphere at the heart of the Hanseatic City. Not only is the convenience of the location an advantage for you but trade fair visitors also like to take the opportunity to sample the vibrant life of Hamburg before or after the trade fair.

88 %of the visitors think Hamburg is a great trade fair location.

“It is evident from the calibre of the visitors that some serious sailing is done here in the North. The people who come here have a superior knowledge to those you meet at other boat shows.”
