ELECTROPLATING OF WIRE

Balver Zinn pure tin anodes offerexeptional performance due to ourunique multiple pressing extrusionprocess. This manufacturing systemgreatly improves the distribution ofthe dissolution.

For coating component and connec-tor terminal wires, pure tin and tin-lead coatings improve solder-ability. Due to the high current density values involved, the purityand even resolution of Balver Zinnanodes are particularly advantageousin term of process quality. Especiallyfor lead-free coating of lead framesand component terminals, BalverZinn’s range also includes the newtin-copper alloy SN100CP.

Our billets and plates have particu-larly proven themselves as anodeforms for tinning small parts in adrum process. When titaniumbaskets are used, Balver Zinn bulkgoods offer excellent performance.

CORROSION PROTECTION

High-purity zinc anodes with a purity of atleast 99.99% have been in use in corrosion protection in the electroplatingindustry for over twenty years. Due tothe increasing importance of processesand secondary processes (sewage technologies, etc.) that are gentle on theenvironment, the demands on the purityof the metals used has now clearly increased. Balver Zinn, therefore, only

special high-grade zinc Zn 99.995%. Tooptimise process parameters, zinc alloyedwith aluminium can be used here to stabilise the anodes. A further specialfeature of the Balver Zinn range is thediversity of forms available: pellets,hemispheres, balls, billets, cast or rolledplates and special forms are tailored tothe specific requirements of our customers.

For corrosion protection and surface coatings in the area of thermal spraying,Balver Zinn produces high-purity zinc,zinc-aluminium and zinc alloyed wires. Diverse dimensions of the zincwires are available between 0.5 and5.0 mm. Standard packing units consist of barrels, reels or rings. Please enquire

about further types of packing. Specialplanar and round targets are offered forvaporisation (metallisation) of films andglasses which are distinguished by theirpurity and uniformity.

CASTING/HOT-DIP GALVANISING/SHIPBUILDING

The Balver Zinn range for diecasting and hot-dip galvanising encompasses a wide spectrum of alloys that are produced in accordance with standardsor to customer specifications and areexclusively made out of pure metals. Youalso have a choice between standardshapes or your own specifications. BalverZinn alloys for diecasting and hot-dip

galvanising are individually manu-factured on request and in accordancewith the state of the art.Sacrificial anodes with cast-in iron stripsfor direct securing to the hull are offeredfor shipbuilding. Special forms can alsobe manufactured to customer specifica-tions.
