PMSE-xG is an research project !
PMSE-xG is an interdisciplinary and cooperative bridging between
the mobile communications industry and the PMSE industry
PMSE-xG considers the future-oriented use of mobile broadband
radio technology and network infrastructure for PMSE applications.
– Technological and economic feasibility of PMSE in 4G+/5G
– Anchoring PMSE applications in the standardization of mobile
broadband radio
– Opening of new chances and opportunities: new business
segments, new products, new services, new applications
PMSE-xG is pioneering project, also for other vertical industries
(eHealth, Industrie 4.0, Automotive)

Live Event
– High peak demand for radio spectrum for production, distribution, and audience in
one location is the main challenge.
– These radio spectrum demands are independent from the technologies involved.
5G provides an attractive technology toolbox and eco-system for realizing PMSE
applications.
– Nevertheless, not all required tools are standardized or available.
• Scheduler is not standardized; Time Sensitive Networking is missing etc.
Own local 5G network deployment and network operation is required.
PMSE industry must be able to roll-out infrastructure for private 5G network operation
and/or 5G network densification with access to 5G radio spectrum.
– Network slicing concepts are valid only, if a proper network infrastructure, setup,
and coverage is available.
All potential stakeholders in 5G will be required to adopt their roles and business.
This requirement holds also for the MNOs.
