On the 5th Anniversary of the Anti-Scientific Racism Watson Campaign, the GREAT

Trust, Council for Afrika International and the Afrika Liberation Society call for a 21st

Century Renaissance of Ethnic, Racial and Human Rights Literacy, Consciousness

and Conduct throughout society that respects the Divine Golden Rule of Creation

the Equality of Humankind, Life and Rights for individual, group and collective

peaceful co-existence. Regrettably and observably, the strides of the past though

significant in journey travelled, have proven inadequate in eliminating the poison of

human hatred and disrespect of the unique diversity of Creation, which is the source

of some of the grotesque man-made human tragedies including costly wars in human

lives. Hatred of human diversity is underpinned and driven by an illusionary,

unscientific, twisted, schizophrenic mentality of self-grandeur that culminates in

baseless infectious superiority complex, which if not identified and dealt with in time,

could lead to significant harm to self and others as witnessed in the Norway

Massacres by Anders Breivik in 2011. It is critical to note the ensuing inferiority

complex imposed by the perpetrator of superiority complexes creates a tolerant

dynamic for which human hatred of diversity festers, brews, thrives ready to explode

where the societal fault-lines can no longer contain its venom. Human hatred for

otherness, ethnically, racially and otherwise is the root cause of most problems in the

history of humankind which is reflected in contemporary society.

Scientific, academic and cyber racism are ideological forms by forces for evil,

characterised by human hatred, driven by delusionary and baseless superiority

complex that determine policy and strategy decisions, structures and constructs by

Global Leadership in contradiction of the Divine Rule of Creation All Human Are

Created Equal with certain Inalienable Rights. The violation of this fundamental rule

of Creation entails tremendous consequences with far reaching ramifications for all

humankind and society, exacerbates human vulnerability and makes captives of even

the perpetrators of delusionary superiority complexes. The history of the world

demonstrates the imperativeness of a rapid resolution of this long-standing lack ofclarity and confused state of mind, the un-ambivalent, categorical, de-facto and

unambiguous acknowledgement, restoration and virtual respect of the Inalienable

Rights, Equality and Dignity of all Global Citizens, regardless of humanly-designed

social standing to attain individual and collective peace and advance human

civilisation. A situation where human beings are human-rights-ignorant and are the

greatest violators of human rights is a potent recipe for continued human self-inflicted

societal disasters.

Scientific, incorporating academic racism is an aggressive, satanic, deceptive,

manipulating, blood-letting/sucking, proposition and propaganda machinery that has

served imperialist forces of darkness well in oppressing and subjugating others by

unleashing extreme hardship, genocide and holocausts, not the least underpinned

colonialism and contemporary neo-colonialism in African and other former colonies.

Specifically to the African experience, scientific racism was the cheer-leading barbaric

idea that underpinned the foreign invasions into the African Continent and has

oxygenated the roll-out of the Wider African Holocaust, on the wings of Afrophobia and

Anti-Africanism in which extraordinarily terrible Crimes Against Humanity were

inflicted against the African Peoples. Scientific racism contradicts the divine truth that

All Human Are Created Equal with Inalienable Rights by deviously concocting thetwisted perspective that Africans are genetically less intelligent that Caucasians and

polluted the human mind of supremacism versus inferiorism within the human race.

In October 2007, Professor James Watson flew from New York, the United States into

London, United Kingdom with an agenda to revive devilish scientific racism on the

Bicentenary Anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act. Contrary to the

learned but unwise Professors racist remarks, all evidence point to the fact that

variations in human intelligence have nothing to do with ethnicity but are ascribable

to social and environmental factors and that there are more intelligence variationswithin rather than between racial groups. Fortunately and unfortunately, while the

whole world looked on nonchalantly at an astonishing development, the pioneers of

the GREAT Trust, the Council for Afrika International and the Afrika Liberation

Society took a stand to challenge this revival of immorality that has caused mass

human suffering and mental enslavement of superiority and inferiority complexes. The

pioneers mustered rare selflessness and uncommon courage, damning every

perceivable risk and consequences, and took issue with the Nobel Laureate and

Scientific Icon to provide his assertions with facts or recant and he did apologising

that he did not know why he made such ridiculous, harmful, baseless and highly

offensive racial and Anti-African remarks.

The pioneers took the view that the whole world is predicated on the devilish theory,

construct and hierarchies of supremacism versus inferiorism which protects rights

and privileges of a few or minority over the majority whose inalienable fundamental

human rights are subjected to relentless assault and abuse day in day out. The

scientific racist ideas, theories and doctrines are an extension of the same malignant

supremacist mentality that drive the destruction of the rich civilisations of the AfricanPeoples and subjugated them from one foreign imposition to another cartel slave

trades of the Trans-Sahara and Trans-Atlantic, colonialism, neo-colonialism, creating

a trend where new forms of subjugating constructs emerge at the demise of the

existing. Due to the selflessness and gallantry of African Patriots but at highest cost

unimaginable, the conspiracy to exterminate Africans from the African Continent with

foreign occupation from the North, South, East, West and Central Africa were halted

midway with the decolonisation struggles. But scientific racism has continued to

manufacture and fuel a different form of foreign domination based on Caucasian

Supremacist thinking and has effectively foisted the instrument of Divide & Rule andDependency which both culminate in entrenching economic underdevelopment in

Africa, which at the same time leaving Africa vulnerable to unethical haemorrhaging of

illicit financial outflows to the Global North, in exchange of a pittance in International

Development Assistance and cut-throat, slavish Global North foreign investment.

The difference between Professor Watson and the reminder of the school of thought he

represents is that he dared speak out, but leaving the iron curtain of Anti-Africanist

and Afrophobic Conspiracy still intact indeed and action. In October 2007, in the face

of the supremacist attempt by Professor Watson to revive scientific racism in the 21 st

Century by his deeply bigoted Anti-African utterances, it is interesting to observe that

none of the then 53 African Heads of State, Governments and Commanders-in-Chief,

nor their counterparts in the Caribbean, their huge repertoire of African diplomats

abroad, Parliaments, Judiciary, Intelligence Apparatuses, the African Union and its

Regional Institutions, the over 250 Universities on the African Continent, the African

Caribbean and Pacific Organisation [ACP], the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Non-

Aligned Movement, the United Nations and its Human Rights Council objectednot a

word to challenge and repudiate this most unsavoury and hostile and falsity of all

belief systems and doctrines that has shaped and underpinned strategies, policies and

relationship of the rest of the world towards the African Continent and its Peoplessince the 7th Century to date! But thank goodness for the pioneers of the GREAT

Trust, the Council for Afrika International and the Afrika Liberation Society who stood

out to beat back the howling dogs of Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism from launching a

contemporary revival, to unleash a new wave of onslaught of Crimes Against

Humanity specifically upon All Persons of African Ancestry.

The neo-colonialist status-quo in Africa is very much synergistic with the tenets of

scientific racism, so long as the African Continent and its rich resources continue to

first serve the strategic interests of foreign elements alongside those of AfricasMinority Ruling Elite while the Inalienable Rights of Majority Africans continue to be

sabotaged, undermined and compromised. This is the other end of the complex

dynamic of internalised inferiority, the contradiction of fear of the external oppressor

while flexing muscles domestically, paradigm-bareness, entrenched dependency and

aversion to lateral thinking, creativity and innovation. The pioneers of the GREAT

Trust, Council for Afrika International and the Afrika Liberation Society wish that

contemporary Africans in Leadership rapidly embrace the need for a revolutionary

awareness of African Equality of Inalienable Human Rights entitlements as the

bottom-line of Creation and install a policy of persistent advocacy at every opportunity

in all negotiations for Majority Africans on this 5th Anniversary of the Anti-Scientific

Racism Campaign.

We wish that the current Africans in Leadership would see through the wool of

Dependency and make a claim for the restoration of the entitlements of the Majority

African Peoples so as to be remembered as the African Leaders who redeemed their

people from the Wider African Holocaust. Thus far, the historical footnote for the first

half-century of African Self-Rule is looking dispiriting and desperate, in the light that

the colonialist status-quo has been strengthened rather than weakened, let aloneeradicated. Before long, time will be up and the legacy of Africas post -colonial

leadership will be transparently subjected to microscopic examination. We shudder

what the verdict will be, unless there is a comprehensive renaissance of Ethnic/Race

Equality and Human Rights Consciousness to overcome internalised inferiority

complex, fossilised by centuries of ruthlessly-enforced regimes of colonialist

superiority complex and the baseless scientific racism of the school of thought of

Professor Watson and his ilk.

GREAT Trust, the Council for Afrika International and the Afrika Liberation Society

acknowledge the role of charity in the alleviating the hardships of Crime AgainstHumanity inflicted upon the Africans. However we caution and draw attention to their

limitations in the sense that all charitable activity seem to tackle the consequences of

oppressive Afrophobic and Anti-Africanist strategies, policies, programs and other

interventions informed by supremacist and inferiority complexes, but not dealing with

the fundamental causes of themselves. Whoever their promoters, mainstream

charitable activity while life-saving for those in acute crises, is limited in their capacity

to eliminate beyond amelioration, the adverse effects of scientifically-racist, Afrophobic

and Anti-Africanist supremacist doctrines.

For maximum impacts, it is counselled that mainstream charitable activity including

Corporate Social Responsibility are expanded to encapsulate targeted uprooting of the

fundamentally-flawed worldview with which Africa and her Peoples are maltreated

right from the UN Security Council, mainstream unfair trade and the refusal to atone

for systemic Crimes Against Humanity perpetrated towards Africans in Africa and the

Diaspora. In a sense, besides the necessary short-term crisis-interventionist succour

they provide for severely vulnerable people, mainstream charitable endeavours, no

matter how well-intended, remain superficial and to some degree feed the vicious cycle

of the consequences of scientifically racist-inspired strategies and policies. Part of our5th Anniversary call is for active ethics-driven collaboration with philanthropists to

conclusively tackle the fundamental underlying causes of the Wider African Holocaust,

not the least scientific racism, to enable the materialisation of a new, enduring,

verifiable foundation for the restoration of the Divine Inalienable Rights of Africans as

Equal Human Beings, in tune with Creation for Justice, Fraternal Coexistence of

Peoples and Global Peace..

Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism as Distinct Forms of Racial Discrimination:

Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism are a lethally-combined and criminally-orchestrated

malignant, imperialist, extremist, Caucasian supremacist ideological doctrine that

underpin and drive the bloody systemic murderous persecution, Crimes Against

Humanity, economic exploitation and historico-cultural destruction, perpetrated

against Africans and Persons of African Ancestry over several centuries that culminate

in the Wider African Holocaust which has marred, blighted and claimed millions of

lives, for which no apology or reparations have been rendered and justice not restored

even in the 21st

Century. Besides American Indians and the Australian Aborigines who

Theories, doctrines, ideologies such as natural selection, social Darwinism, eugenics,

scientific and academic racism that underpin extremist, fascist, racial, supremacist

constructs such as Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism of which Apartheid is a variation,

are tools by forces of darkness to violate and undermine the divine standard of

Inalienable Human Rights. The greatest danger in human society is the contradictory

and paradoxical scenario in which human beings abuse human rights either by intent

or through human rights illiteracy, inaction or misconduct! It is instructive that the

genesis of most human-made problems in society is the abuse of the Inalienable

Rights of humankind, which without any exceptions or shadow of doubt inflicts harshand brutal sufferings upon targets. Abuse of Inalienable Rights of humankind is thus

intrinsically criminal in nature and must be consistently identified, categorized and

condemned in no uncertain terms until its total elimination from society.

The bottom-line is that no human being has got the right to undermine the Inalienable

Human Rights of other human beings. Rather a characterisation and quality of human

being-ness is the natural instinct to protect human rights, not to put it in jeopardy; a

state of human rights-consciousness and automatic inclination to protect the

Inalienable Rights of all, not put it at risk. About this there must be absolute clarity.The paradox is that this is not the case which indicates the amount of work still at

stake in creating a human rights-conscious world, where human beings are at peace

with human rights the resolution of fundamental contradiction within the human

mind, society and conduct. As such, the cardinal responsibility of leadership in society

is to protect the Inalienable Human Rights of human beings from abuse,

manipulation, undermine or sabotage in any shape or form, failing which they become

complicit.

Given their divine essence, the abuse and violation of Inalienable Fundamental

Human Rights which separates human beings from other species of Creation,

inevitably attracts divine comeuppance as a rule of thumb by the Law of Karma. It is

critical to have clarity that the championing of race equality and human rights is

primarily spiritual and secondarily physical, both divine and secular. The upholding of

the Inalienable Rights of Humans in any century, time, space, generation, is a key

indicator for the advancement, sophistication of civilisation or otherwise primitiveness

in perpetuity. We submit the holistic insight that the abuse of human rights, contrary

to orthodox thinking, does not only dehumanise the target-victim but also

dehumanises the perpetrator, who is enslaved, often consumed by an ideology of

unfounded, profound hatred. Almost inexplicably, except for its demonic character,abuse of race equality and human rights entails more effort, resources than respecting

and protecting them! Ethnic/Race inequality and Human Rights abuses are needless,

unproductive, misplaced and deflect attention from the many life challenges that

confronts humankind such as diseases, natural disasters to which human intelligence

or rationalism has yet to find panaceas. Against this backdrop, the phenomena,

culture and habit of Inalienable Human Rights abuse is tragic, pathetic, un-smart, evil

and a 21st Century Human Rights Consciousness Renaissance has become imperative,

more so as it is contributory to the severest global economic recession!

Criminological Undertones:

Racial and Human Rights abuse through conventionalisation, codification and

legislation have been criminalised, but at varying degrees subject to the Race Equality

and Human Rights literacy, consciousness and conduct of the ruling elites. However,

the cycle of exclusion of everything African i.e. the widespread nature of Anti-

Africanism, have created a scenario where Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism are

excluded from relevant national and regional regulatory and enforcement provisions;

entrenching ethnic/racial discrimination against Africans which is the most

pronounced and nastiest of human discriminations with more room to fester and

mutate into subtler proportions. The fundamental divine origins and essence of All

Men Are Created Equal with Inalienable Rights makes its disregard by none other by

human beings exceptional; human beings should be conscious and promoting of

Human Equality of Rights and Opportunities and yet this is not the case. In reality,

only a minority of human beings actively promote Human Equality and the Equality of

Rights which is a critical contradiction.

While this may be ascribed to intergenerational denigration of the duty of care and

significant disservice to humankind, to actually set out to manufacture doctrines to

undermine this Golden Rule and Higher Truth of Creation such as Scientific and

Academic Racism bear all the features of criminality. There is clear motive and

evidence to harm through dehumanisation of the inalienable rights of others, intent

and space of criminality. Scientific and Academic Racism that underpin the twin-evils

of Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism are responsible for Centuries of Crimes Against

Humanity unleashed upon several generations of Africans with dire long-term adverse

effects entailing significant loss of lives; are all criminal acts which must besufficiently reflected in statue and prosecuted. We have no doubt that purveyors,

sponsors and promoters of Scientific and Academic Racism are not only demon-

inspired but criminals intent on causing severe injury to the Inalienable Rights of All

Persons of African Ancestry and must be dealt with as such. It must be emphasised

that the classical extremist, supremacist tactic to explain away, equate and confuse

Scientific and Academic Racism to and with Freedom of Speech and Expression is

disingenuous and must also be discharged as criminal activity.

Dr Koku Adomdza, President of the GREAT Trust, the Council for Afrika International

and the Afrika Liberation Society reflects on the 5 th Anniversary of the anti-Watson,

Scientific/Academic Racism Campaign. We believe that the Spiritual reflects the

Physical and vice versa; that All Humans Are Created Equal with Inalienable Rights is

a divine imperative and that anything that runs contrary to this High Truth must be

vigorously challenged. Our mandate is thus primarily divinely-inspired at the same

time as physical, practical and material. This unprecedented issues-led Campaign

accentuated from October 2007 has near, medium and long-term objectives within the

scope of countering the fascist, extremist, supremacist, bigoted twin-evils ofAfrophobia and Anti-Africanism which are underpinned by Scientific and Academic

Racism of the school of Professor Watson and others of their ilk. Not only that the

learned, celebrated Father of DNA and Nobel Laureate for Science, but unwise

Professor Watson, by his own recantation, had no scientific evidence to back his

preposterous claims, that Africans were genetically less intelligent than Caucasians,

contrary to evidence citing social and environmental factors to variations in

intelligence, there were no spiritual or divine grounds for his claims, making it all the

more disgraceful but instructive the pervasive and entrenched character of Afrophobia

and anti-Africanism which culminate in the severe, ceaseless economic enslavement ofthe African Peoples on the African Continent and in the Diaspora even in the 21 st

Century. This contradicts the backdrop of Africas pedigree resource richness, history

and contribution to the global commonwealth. So alongside calling for a Global Race

Equality and Human Rights Literacy, Consciousness and Conduct Renaissance, onthis 5th Anniversary of the Campaign for, we ask that the 54 African Leaders and

those of the Caribbean, their large and extensive diplomatic infrastructure of several

thousand officials and the African Union to be reconfigured to deal with this

fundamental doctrine that has and continue to blight Africas prospects. There is too

much focus on the consequences that fosters dependency, with almost neglect of

lost. That is why scientific racism / afrophobia and Anti-Africanism is dangerous,

devilish and must be eradicated.

Consider the kind of immorality that subjects Africans to ceaseless barbaric

subjugation and exploitation for centuries in human, cultural and natural resources,

siphon-off unaccountable vast quantities of high quality wealth to the Global North,

inflict untold Crimes Against Humanity, monopolise civilizational advancement,

dramatically propagate the big propaganda-lie that Africans sold Africans into cartel

slavery [victim-blaming], then turn round to label them with condescendingnomenclature to fit into Global Norths supremacist complex third world,

underdeveloped, developing? All without acknowledgement of crimes committed,

apology or compensation???

Our approach is not only creative and innovative but distinct in its uniqueness that

predicates the physical on the Spiritual / Divine Essence of Inalienable Race Equality

and Fundamental Human Rights. The idea, thought and practice that human beings

can be discriminated, victimised and subjected to centuries of genocide and rights-

terrorism for their phenotype is to say the least repulsive, repugnant, primitive and

harmful to human civilisation. Most phenomena are assessed depending on theirimpacts, outcomes and consequences; so are all forms of extremism and supremacist

doctrines, ideologies and constructs. Extremist Hitlerite Fascism that was driven by

delusional demagogic Aryan Supremacist and Holocaust-cum-WWII-inflicting doctrine

and ideology, were not contained but rightly, vigorously challenged head-on and

defeated to prevent even more devastation and human suffering. The twin-evils of

Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism, through mindless and criminally-purposed Scientific

and Academic Racism a la Professor James Watson, are not dissimilar from Extremist

Supremacist, Hitlerite Fascism in consequence, impact or outcomes, excepting that

the former are more enduring, larger in outcomes, adverse effects, conspiratorially

covered-up and obfuscated under the general terminology of racism.

This dynamic led to a general Policy of Containment from all authority and

leadership quarters, ranging from academic, political, economic to the United Nations

podiums. As the scandals of contemporary Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism in

European and World Football [in the UK and Serbia] portray, the Policy of

Containment, whilst helpful and cannot be discounted, has proven disturbingly

inadequate. The imperative of Human Ethnic/Racial Equality is not only secular butprimarily divine and must be obliged accordingly as a higher truth, beyond the

restrictions and shortcomings of limited human intelligence. There is no

inconsequential manipulation of this divine truth and the Law of Karma cannot be

forever escaped by perpetrators of abuse of Human Equality, Inalienability of Rights

and Respect for the Unique Diversity of Creation. Pity the world, that significant

swathes of people walk through the gift of life in darkness, blinded to the fulfilling

benefits of enlightenment about Human Equality High Truth, in spite of all the

opportunities available to them, locked in the bondage of ignorance, submitting to

captivity by ethnic, racial and diversity hatred and never experience the empoweringfreedom of full Liberation from ethnic, racial bigotry.

One of the many striking enigmas of Racial Extremist Supremacist Bigoted forms of

Afrophobia and Anti-Africanism is how those who hate Africans and all things African

and are impervious to the Inalienable Fundamental Human Rights of Africans, cannot

resist the temptation of grabbing a greedy share, whatever it takes, of the rich natural

resource endowments of the African Continent African diamond, gold, iron,

manganese, oil, timber, coffee, labour, land, wildlife, trade, money of which Trillions

are illicitly smuggled to foreign lands throughout the centuries; demonstrating not

only the hypocrisy and criminal intent but also the obscenity and inherently unethical

contradiction that underpin them. Consider the history of the Lome Convention [Togo,

1975], through Cotonou Agreement [Benin, 2000] to the current proposed Economic

Partnership Agreements between the European Union and the 79 ACP Countries

[Georgetown Agreement, 1975] which entail comparatively few advantages and several

disadvantages for African, Caribbean and Pacific Group Countries [48 African, 16

Caribbean and 15 Pacific], that would hold their economies ransom to European

Economies, deepen dependency and stifle any real attempts at rapidly developing the

industrial capacities of the ACP for accelerated economic growth to be able to fairly

compete on the global market with finished products. Nigeria has been bold enough toreject such raw deal and it is for the collective leadership of the ACP, which is a huge

trading partner of Europe, to demonstrate candour and strong moral antennae to

vigorously advocate the economic interests of their Peoples! It is unbelievable that the

European Union, signatory to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ICERD with

its own Convention on Human Rights be proposing such deal to the ACP knowing fully

well the net economic rights deficits to the already impoverished Peoples of the ACP

region. The trajectory of this trade relationship suggests the interplay of superiority

and inferiority complex, which in unsavoury and unethical.

Consider further that within the constrained, twisted scope of supremacist

Look around the world, there is hardly any hotspot of violence and avoidable human

suffering that is not founded upon misguided ethnic, racial hatred, bigotry, equality or

fundamental human rights illiteracy. For sustainable Peace, Stability, Freedom and

Liberty, the world needs to urgently transcend the policy of containment to one of

Zero-Tolerance of ethnic, racial bigotry, human rights and diversity illiteracy, through

it violates the spirit and letter of the UN Charter, Universal Declaration of Human

Rights and International Convention for the Eradication of All Forms of Racial

Forces of darkness who back the confused malignant extremist supremacist ideology

Dr Watson told the Sunday Times in October 2007 that Western policies towards

African countries were wrongly based on an assumption that black people were as

clever as their white counterparts when "testing" suggested the contrary. He claimed

genes responsible for creating differences in human intelligence could be found within

a decade.

Dr Watson told that he was "inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa" because

"all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours

whereas all the testing says not really". He said there was a natural desire that all

human beings should be equal but "people who have to deal with black employees find

this not true".

His views are also reflected in a book published next week, in which he writes: "There

is no firm reason to anticipate that the intellectual capacities of peoples geographically

separated in their evolution should prove to have evolved identically. Our wanting to

reserve equal powers of reason as some universal heritage of humanity will not be

enough to make it so."

Watson says that he has opened a DNA research lab in Harlem, but cant get anything

done because theres no one to recruit.

After being challenged, the Nobel Prize Winner watered down his remarks by stating

that he is a lifelong Democrat and secular humanist and has no desire to discriminate

against blacks. There are many people of colour who are very talented, said Watson,

but dont promote them when they havent succeeded at the lower level.

The furore echoed the controversy created in the 1990s by The Bell Curve, a book co-

authored by the American political scientist Charles Murray, which suggested

differences in IQ were genetic and discussed the implications of a racial divide in

intelligence. The work was heavily criticised across the world, in particular by leading

scientists who described it as a work of "scientific racism".

Brief Profile

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on 6 April 1928, Watson was a precocious child who gained a

place at Chicago University aged just 15. He graduated with a zoology degree in 1947.

In October 1951 he arrived at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge, to carry out

genetics research and met Francis Crick. They struck up a friendship that became one

of the most famous partnerships in science and led them, in 1953, to the discovery

that DNA, from which human genes are made, has a double helix structure.

In 1962, the pair - with Maurice Wilkins, of King's College London - were awarded the

Nobel Prize for Medicine for this work. Six years later Watson published his racy

account of the DNA story in The Double Helix. Dropped by its original publisher amid

objections by Crick, Wilkins and others, its opening sentence was: 'I have never seen

Francis Crick in a modest mood.' It became a bestseller and the basis of the 1987 TV

film Life Story, in which Jeff Goldblum played Watson and Tim Pigott-Smith Crick.

In 1988 Watson was made head of the US Human Genome Project, America's arm of

the international programme for sequencing human DNA. Four years later he resignedover US plans to try to take out patents on gene sequences discovered by US

scientists, saying 'the human genome belongs to the world's people'.

He was retired on 25th October 2012 as Chancellor of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory,

Long Island after his scientifically-racist remarks that Africans were less intelligent

than Caucasians.
