Thanks to the continued support of SO many and our growing relationships and programing, 6:8 is thrilled to welcome Heather Brooks as our full time Program Coordinator!!!!! Heather came on our first 2 MadCAAP High School Mission Trips when she was in high school at SPHS, has returned as an Adult Small Group Leader since, and has recently moved back to Sauk Prairie from St. Paul, MN. She, her husband Bill (a teacher), and their 14 month old daughter Adelaide (Della) are joining our Intentional Community and teaming up with us in the work of 6:8. Heather will be working with Feed My Sheep; Sauk Prairie Against Hunger; developing programs for meeting the needs of those who are elderly, shut-in, or alone; and more. Heather has a passion for Mercy and Service, so 6:8 seemed like a natural fit! Welcome HOME, Heather!!!

One of the most nerve-racking decisions I've made happened 2 years ago when I decided to stop pursuing graduate school when I felt a pull toward working in the non-profit sector. It was scary to change paths after working hard for a college degree in a field I love and am passionate about (Museum Studies/Art History), but God gave me a new passion: service. Trusting in that love of service has eventually led me back home to Sauk Prairie and to a full-time job at 6:8. Living in community is helping me embrace the mission and people of 6:8 in a completely new way. It's crazy, exciting, and challenging, and I am loving every minute of it. I'm so grateful
to the Sauk Prairie Community and everyone involved with 6:8 for being so welcoming and making this transition so smooth for us. My hope is for this job to allow me to serve those in need of the most basic necessities - food, warmth, and friendship. Please pray for me and my family as we are starting this new chapter of our lives and know that we are praying for you!
