The Center for Disease Control recommends 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week. That is 30 minutes, 5 days per week. Below you will find some easy ways to incorporate fitness into your everyday routine. 1.) As soon as you wake up, do 50 crunches followed by 50 push-ups. You can do it right on the floor of your bedroom and it only takes about 5 minutes. 2.) Add 15 extra minutes to your dogs walk. Try power walking to increase your heart rate. Your pooch is sure to appreciate the extra exercise too! 3.) Avoid the parking space up front. Consider parking at the back of the parking lot at work. The extra steps only add a little bit of time to your trip but doing this on a daily basis will really pay off. 4.) Enjoy a family walk after dinner. Walk around the block a couple of times. It is a good opportunity to squeeze in some extra family time as well as exercise. 5.) Sneak in a lunch break workout. If you often dine out on your lunch break, consider walking to the restaurant. If not, try eating at your desk and do a few laps around the parking lot after you have finished. 6.) Get up and dance. If you are a busy mom who can't seem to get any exercise time in, turn up the music and dance around the house with your little one. It is a great way to get your heart rate up.
