6The B-BBEE MDP is an initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry to provide a standardised national curriculum for the B-BBEE verification industry. The target group for this programme is verification agencies, accountants, auditors, supply chain management practitioners in government and state-owned enterprises, and employers of entities being verified for B-BBEE compliance.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS The MDP BBBEE provides for two
options. The fast track which is 3 months and requires a formal qualification e.g. B degree and 3 years demonstrable experience in BBBEE activities. The normal track is 6 months and its admission requirement is an appropriate NQF level 6 qualification e.g. a B degree or 3 year National Diploma.
ON COMPLETION
This programme will provide candidates with the tools and the ability to work within the provisions of the B-BBEE Act 53 of 2003 and other relevant policies. Qualified candidates can apply at IRBA for registration as a Verification Professional.
MDP BBBEE
The application and registration process for the MDP BBBEE takes place from September 2018 until January 2019. Attendance at the MDP BBBEE study school is compulsory and the dates of these events will be provided. Please note the Application Fee for 2019 is R160 and is in addition to the tuition fees.
On successful completion of the programme, students will receive the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Management Development Programme certificate from the Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL), an internationally respected educational institution.
