  • Some Excellent Tips by which you can Lock Shrinkage

& make Candle in Single Pouring

This are moulds in which we

    will be pouring Wax

Wax is now completely filled with

Wax. Zoom the photo if required

At this time wax is in Semi Hard &

we will place 1 mould in water

    Water should come till complete

Top over the wax and let it cool.

Left mould you will find shrinkage

Right one will find extra wax

Rod place to show the shrinkage &

Right one with extra wax after level

  • How does it actually work

When we melt the Wax, the Volume of Wax increases

And when its in Semi Hard phase and we cool it

It gets lock at that position. Here you get following Benefit

    Page No 5 :: www.candlemould.com

    1. In Single Pouring you can make candle very Easily & Happily @ Home

    2. You Save on Cost of additional Wax which needed to pour

    3. And Time which takes for additional wax to cool by this your

    production capacity will also increase

    4. This will also Increase the Shine and Gloss of Wax

    5. Cooler the Water Better the Result.

  • CHAPTER TWO

    How Proper Colour can change

    the Looks of Candles

    Page No 6 :: www.candlemould.com

For adding Colour there are few option

Industrial Colour / Pigmnet. In Industrial Colour there are two types

    1. Fluorescent Colour

    2. Oil Grade Colour

For Hobby many use Crayons. Do not use Crayon as crayon contains

50% Clay Powder 40% Wax & 10% Industrial Pigment. This Clay

Powder makes the Candle look Dull and does not get mix with Wax

settles down and creates obstacle while Burning.

    AVOID USING CRAYON

  • How Proper Colour can change the Looks of Candles

These 2 moulds we will pour

    2 different types of Colour

    Left is Fluorescent Yellow Colour

Right is Oil grade Yellow Colour

Filling both the mould with different

    grade of colour. ZOOM Photo

Wax is now cooled and we shall

    take out candle

Yellow Oil colour got penetrate in

right mould & Fluoro colour didnt

Left - Flourscent :: Right - Oil Color

You will see Petals in Oil Coloured

Candle looks more sharp & detailed

    compared to Fluorscent colour

  • Fluorescent v/s Oil ColourS. No Fluorescent Colour Oil Based Colour

How to use One need to make Paste with Coconut Oil & then need to add to molten wax

One can directly add Powder Colour to molten wax

    How does it mix

Fluorescent Colour gets dispersed in wax so when you add in wax give a good stirring and rubbing over vessel

Oil Colour Penetrate in wax and any surface. One directly mixed so no

    Does it penetrate on mould

It does not penetrate in Mould or any surface.

It gets penetrate in Mould and also other surface like furniture, packing box, whichthen cannot be removed

    Which colourlooks great

In Fluorescent Colour, candles look good but detailing is less

One get more detailed lining in intricate design when made with Oil Colour.

Suggested for Suggested for Chunk, Paraffin Suggested for Gel Candle, Paraffin

Burning Good burning but less compared to Oil Excellent Burning support

When to add Do not add in very Hot wax If doesnt mix apply more heat to wax

UV Stabiliser No such thing required for FluorscentColour

UV rays of Sun, TubeLight fades up Oil Grade colour. So UV Stabilser is suggested

  • Our Colours are very Pure, Concentrate and of Finest Technical

    grade for Candle Industry

Looks of candle one get in Oil Colour will never get in

Fluorescent Colour, but for separate colour you need separate

    moulds.

Many established candle makers are buying separate mould for

separate colour as their Focus is on Shade &Texture of Candle

UV stabiliser needs to be added for Oil Colour. We have this

    item in product list.

Mostly in Palm Wax and other waxes Oil Colour gets mixed

    properly

  • CHAPTER THREE

    FIRE SAFETY

    Page No 10 :: www.candlemould.com

FLASH POINT TEMPERATURE AT WHICH WAX CATCHED FIRE.

Proper care should be taken that wax is not overheated.

But in case if any of such thing happen then

TURN OFF GAS & COVER WITH PAN / LID CAREFULLY

Never use water to put out a wax fire, it will spread the fire! If you don't

have a proper fire extinguisher nearby, use baking soda, sand or flour to

    extinguish the flames.

  • CHAPTER FOUR

    HOW TO USE WAX

    Page No 11 :: www.candlemould.com

Always make small pieces then melt it.

By this melted wax will not get overheated

Use bigger then required vessel, but this it will give good control over

    the pouring of wax

    Suggested to use Steel Vessel.

  • CHAPTER FIVE

BATCH QUANTITYTO ACTUALLY MAKE QUALITY CANDLES BATCH QUANTITY

PLAYS A VERY IMPORTANT ROLE. FIND MORE DETAILS IN FOLLOWING PAGES

  • Batch Quantity means making candle with uniform pattern of quantity. Unlike

how we make TEA in daily basis. Here cup is standard Batch quantity

Having proper control over weight of each item. By doing so you will have

exact idea how much actually you added different Grades of Waxes,

Perfume, Additives and so on. You may buy a good Weighing Scale.

Suggested to make a Batch of at least 500 gm and multiple of that so

whenever you melt wax it would be 500 1000 1500 and so on.

You might have observed that at Home when daily Dal is made, everyday

there will be slight change in Taste. But in Hotel their taste of Sambhar is same

for years. There are Hotels whose taste are same for more than 10 years also.

Batch quantity will also help you to have continuous improvement and

monitoring in your product and whatever test - sampling you do you can

measure that. It will also help you to calculate exact costing.

    Bright

can use our Wax Shinner. Also it make make any colour lighter by certain shades.

Wax Hardener Acidic type Hardener like Stearic Acid are not suggested for rubber moulds

We have some Plastic Granules type Hardener which will make Candle Hard, Non Drip.

Bees Wax Brings toughness and Flexibility to wax and also binds perfume. Exceed use

    may make candle opaque

Micro Wax Brings Flexibility and smoothness to candle
