As parents we want our kids to know that we love them, so we try real hard to let our kids know that we love them. But what if you didn't have to try so hard, if you knew exactly what you need to do to let them know that you love them.

Praise and Tell them that you love them

You can never tell them that you love them enough. So tell them that you love them as ofter as you can. Praise them when the work that they do is good.

Don't just listen, really listen

You need to pay attention to what they are telling you.

When they are talking to you avoid taking phone calls and give your full attention to them.

Meaning that you are really listening to what they have to say.

Be there for them at all times

Treat every game, recital, competition as if it were their first and be there. Come what may, you need to be there for them at all times.

Be physically and mentally present for

your kids We are all busy but that

doesn't excuse you from spending time with kids

You need to spend not just time but quality time

Buying things doesn't show them that you love them

Encourage family togetherness

If time is difficult to come by then ensure that you spare some time on festive occasions atleast with your kids

Help and support them in their dreams

They need to know that you support them and their dreams provided that their dreams are achieveable form a practical perspective.

If not highlight it to them by explaining your perspective as to why it may not be appropriate.
