What is the Chaplet of Divine Mercy? Saint Faustina was born Helena Kowalska in the village of Glogowiec west of Lodz, Poland, on August 25, 1905. She was the third of ten children. When she was al-most twenty, she entered the Con-gregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, whose members devote themselves to the care and education of troubled young women. The following year she received her religious habit and was given the name Sister Maria Faustina, to which she added "of the Most Blessed Sacrament," as was permit-

ted by her Congregation's custom. In the 1930s, Sister Faustina received from the Lord a message of mercy that she was told to spread throughout the world. She was asked to become the apostle and secretary of God's mercy, a model of how to be merciful to others, and an instrument for reemphasizing God's plan of mercy for the world. The message of mercy that Sister Faustina received is now be-ing spread throughout the world; she has been recognized by the Church as a "Saint"; and her diary, Divine Mercy in My Soul, has become the handbook for devotion to The Divine Mercy. She would not have been surprised, for she had been told that the message of God's mercy would spread through her writings for the great benefit of souls. Through Saint Faustina, Jesus also revealed special ways to live out the response to His mercy–one of which is the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, as both a novena and a prayer for the three o'clock hour–the hour of His death.

St. Albert the Great Pro-Life Group Flower Sale Before we know it - Mother’s Day will be here and St. Albert’s Pro-Life Committee will again sell flowers for that special person in your life. The flowers will be sold May 10 and 11 at all Masses as long as they last. The prices will be the same as last year and will sup-port Women’s Care Services, who counsel women with problem pregnancies, offer free ultra sounds and pregnancy tests. They also offer family planning, which is consistent with Catholic teaching. So, you can get your Mother’s Day gift right here at St. Albert’s and help save babies at the same time!

BELIEVING New birth, new life, good news! These themes run throughout today’s scripture readings. The first reading from the Acts of the Apostles describes the joyful early days of the newly born church, when members devoted themselves to instruction, the communal life, the breaking of bread, and the prayers. The passage from Peter’s first letter echoes that joy, and assures those who now believe though they never saw Je-sus that their faith will lead to their salvation. But amid all the joy, the Gospel reading calls us to sober reality. Not everyone can believe so easily. Even an apostle can doubt this astonishing news of the Resurrection. Across the centuries, Jesus reaches for-ward to touch us today: “Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

KANONIZACJA PAPIEŻY: Dzisiaj na Placu Świetego Piotra w Rzymie odbyła się uroczystość kanonizacji Papieży naszych czasów Jana XXIII i Jana Pawła II. Na stolikach znajdują sie obrazki z modlitwą dziękczynną Panu Bogu za dar Świętych Papieży. GODZINA MIŁOSIERDZIA - dzisiaj uroczyste nabożeństwo na zakończenie nowenny do Bożego Miłosierdzia, którą rozpoczęliśmy w Wielki Piątek, odbędzie się w naszym kościele o godz. 15.00.

Zaprośmy też na nie naszych bliskich, znajomych, przyjaciół, a także tych, którzy być może zbyt często do kościoła nie chodzą. Niech łaska tego dnia stanie się również dla nich okazją do przemiany życia. Świat bardzo potrzebuje Bożego miłosierdzia, dlatego wykorzystajmy ten dzień również na modlitwę za nas samych i naszych bliskich. Dziś za odmówienie koronki do Miłosierdzia Bożego możemy także uzyskać odpust zupełny na zwykłych warunkach. Są nimi: stan łaski uświęcającej, brak przywiązania do grzechu choćby powszedniego, przystąpienie do Komunii św., modlitwa w intencjach Ojca Świętego. Odpust ten możemy ofiarować za siebie lub też za kogoś ze zmarłych. MIESIĄC MAJ 2014 - W połowie tygodnia wchodzimy w maryjny miesiąc

maj. W poniedzialek, sroda i piatek w kosciele będziemy gromadzić się wokół ołtarza na Eucharystii i na majowym nabożeństwie o godzinie 19:00, w pozostale dni przy Figurze Matki Bozej przed kaplica Najswietszego Serca Pana Jezusa. Na początku maja będziemy przeżywali też wspomnienie św. Józefa Rzemieślnika. PIERWSZY TYDZIEŃ MAJA 2014 - Jest to zarazem pierwszy czwartek miesiąca – dzień dziękczynienia za dar Eucharystii oraz modlitwy o nowe powołania kapłańskie i zakonne zwłaszcza z naszej parafii. Adoracja eucharystyczna w Kaplicy Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa cały dzień. W pierwszy piątek miesiąca w liturgii wspominamy św. Atanazego, biskupa i doktora Kościoła.
