Emerson to launch Innovation Partnership ProgramEmerson Network Power is launching its Innovation Partnership Program across the Middle East, starting with the UAE and in partnership with Mindware. The programme will extend to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Lebanon.

The announcement builds on last year’s strategic alliance with regional distributor Mindware in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) which bolstered its capability to deliver world-class critical infrastructure products and solutions to the region’s fast-growing small-to-medium sized business market.

Peter Lambrecht, vice president sales IT and finance segment for Emerson Network Power in Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “The launch of the program in the region is a leap forward for Emerson and shows the commitment we have as a company for our partners in the Middle East.

P5@computernewsme

“Working with Mindware also means that our partners can greatly benefit from world-class training, information and tools, enabling them to address key customer challenges while maximizing their revenue and opportunity potential. The implementation of the program across EMEA means that the Middle East

will be one of the first regions to join Emerson Network Power’s strategic Innovation Partnership Program initiative.”

Emerson’s Innovation Partnership Program has been an established program in the United States for a number of years, proving greatly successful for both Emerson and

partners, being selected as the best partner program for the third consecutive year.

In the Middle East, Emerson Network Power and Mindware will run a number of promotions and initiatives to benefit the local reseller base, including dedicated resources for product training and education across a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, such as new interactive material, a new unique online configurator and a wealth of additional marketing promotional tools.

“Working with Mindware coupled with our product portfolio will help Emerson Network Power achieve significant growth over the next 5 years, which in turn means further investments in the UAE and the Middle East over the coming year,” explained Lambrecht.

Emerson will be at GITEX 2013 at the Mindware stand located in Hall 3, A3-8.

GITEX preview: Aruba Networks1. What is the main theme of your presence at GITEX this year?At this year’s edition we will focus on the Wireless Office, where our customers can experience Aruba network solutions and understand how their business can benefit from our reliable solutions.

2. Are you releasing/launching anything new at GITEX 2013? If so,what? We will be showcasing our flagship 802.11ac solution, the first in the industry to deliver gigabit Wi-Fi combined with the device density and application intelligence required by today’s Wi-Fi networks. We will introduce new solutions focused on the small to medium size business that simplify the delivery and operations of wireless networks, without compromising on performance.

3. How is your company presenting itself at GITEX this year to differentiate it from competitors?Aruba will be focused on building stronger enablement for our solutions within the Aruba Networks channel community. To do this we will be unveiling new training and certification programmes, an updated partner programme structure designed to provide even more benefits to partners and delivering in region education and training through a series of

roadshows. We are also maximising our presence at the event by co-participating with our VADs and Partners.

4. What are the key trends influencing your approach to GITEX 2013 and the offerings you are pushing? We continue to see the boom in mobile Web and data traffic and usage, which is driving companies to take a more proactive approach to planning their mobility strategies. Additionally, the consumption and shift to cloud and software-as-a-service, along with the consumerisation of IT, are shifting traditional IT models – putting more IT decision making power into the hands of the employee. The sum of these trends is driving

the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) phenomenon, which we expect to see continue over the next coming years.

5. How have you seen the Middle East respond to those trends in question, and how did you think that will change over the next year?Information and communication technologies have progressed significantly in the region over the past few years. The main reasons are related to the increase in tech savvy, younger users entering the work force and driving demand for ICT solutions. This demand has increased the level of competition amongst suppliers. Additionally, we have seen consumers adopting the most cutting-edge technologies.

Some countries, like Turkey and Saudi Arabia, have shown great momentum in terms of growth over the past years and we expect them to keep their fast pace.

6. How do you think GITEX 2013 will be different to previous editions?GITEX has been drawing huge audiences ever since it was launched in the region and it continuous to grow every year. GITEX has 12 dedicated sectors, which helps vendors like us meet unique ICT procurement decision makers from across the world. We also feel that conferences within GITEX will help us interact with industry experts and thought leaders covering the hottest ICT topics from around the world.

7. How important is GITEX as a platform and event to your organisation?GITEX is by far the number one ICT event in the region. It gives us an opportunity to actively network with C level executives from a variety of industries, showcase our technology solutions to ICT professionals, and also capitalise on top trends like BYOD, cloud, SDN and gigabit-Wi-Fi. We also intend to engage with visitors post event thru new lead generating, ROI enhancing tools.

8. What is the top reason you invest in GITEX — do you see a healthy return on your
