Sound Technique is an award-winning music consultancy headed by Ashley Zmijewski, known to many as the performer Ashley Feraude and producer Magnifik.

Sound Technique provides music consultancy services that includes:

• Event and venue music direction, tailored to client needs and target audience

• Music and artist scheduling

• Live musicians and DJs for corporate events, functions and regular nightclub, bar, lounge or restaurant sets.

The point of difference is that Sound Technique is not a talent agency employed by the musicians, but a consultancy working for the venue to deliver music services tailored to specific business needs, patrons and budgets. Ashley is the sole contact and manages all music related matters for the venue.

This model has earned Sound Technique a superb reputation for delivering on music needs for various venues throughout the Canberra region with long term relationships with iconic Canberra venues such as Hopscotch.

MOKU MUSICMoku Music is a booking agency that supplies live musicians to some of Canberra’s busiest bars and events venues. All musicians we supply are heavily experienced in the industry, provide their own PA equipment, and can cater to a wide variety of tastes. Be sure not to miss this unique local duo, with Aaron taking care of vocals and guitar, while drummer, Andrew, also fills the soundscape playing keys as well. Be sure to catch their takes on all the classics and a big helping of new mainstream and indie hits.

Aron & Simone

Former members of band Plump, Aron’s adeptness at the guitar and Simone’s vocal range mean they can cover a huge range of music, and can cater to any crowd.

Bill Olson

Bill Olson is always guaranteed to set the atmosphere alight, with a huge range of songs, great guitar and vocals, and seamless transitions between songs all night.

Cam Thornton

Former frontman for The Advocates, Cam now resides in Newcastle, but Canberra is still lucky enough to get the occasional solo performance from him. Come check out a unique voice, with guitar and harmonica to keep the night fresh.

Chad Croker

A Canberra music stalwart, Chad has been keeping the night kicking along in many of Canberra’s bars for the better part of the last decade. Seamless transitions, a big voice, and great energy ensure the night is always fun when Chad is manning the night’s entertainment.


Dan Millane

Dan Millane moved to Canberra from Melbourne, where he was a regular performer at the Crown Casino. Be sure not to miss some of the most intricate looping performances around, as he brings his unique style to all genres.

Dana Hassall

Dana Hassall has had an extensive career performing originals around Australia but is here in Canberra now to wow punters with an impeccable voice and classic song choices.

Josh Veneris

Josh Veneris has become a veteran of performing at The Duxton. His smooth vocals and guitar covers of mainstream and indie hits make him perfect for a relaxing afternoon of live music.

Mark Rice

Former frontman of several Canberra bands including The Remnants and Tree-oh, Mark has a dynamic range of songs suited to any venue or event.

Marty Kooistra

From Launceston originally, Marty has quickly become one of Canberra’s busiest musicians. As versatile as they come, Marty’s vocal range and guitar skills allow him to cover a hugely eclectic selection of songs.

Mat ‘Sugar Ray’ Paese

Part of local band, Sugar and Cream, Mat’s soulful vocals and rhythmic guitar playing set a great atmosphere for anywhere lucky enough to have him perform.

Mitch Canas

With over 20 years of experience in Canberra’s live music scene, there’d be few punters in Canberra that hadn’t seen him play in a pub, at a wedding, or a community event. He brings his positive energy to any gig he performs at and, as expected, can cater to the most eclectic crowd.

Ned Philpot

Ned has worked with the likes of Australian artists such as LDRU, and Oriental Cravings on their hit, Toxic, and been a guest performer at various Australian music festivals. Be sure to catch his unique looping abilities on show, and intricate vocals while you can.

Nick Rigby

Rhythmic guitar playing, dynamic vocals, and an eclectic set lists have helped Nick become a veteran of Canberra’s live music scene over the past few years. Seamless changes between songs ensure the atmosphere never drops during his performances.

Reinhold Kamilo/UP2 Boys

Reinhold has long been one of Canberra’s busiest DJ’s, but also brings his ability to read a room and entertain with smooth vocals and acoustic guitar loops covering all the classics and a lot of R&B and Soul. He is also available as a duo or trio UP2 boys, which adds electric bass and percussion to the mix.

Ria Ritchie

Now living in Australia but originally from the UK, Ria is a youtube sensation, with videos racking up millions of views as well having collaborated with electronic duo, Disclosure, for their song

‘Control’. She now performs in Canberra as a solo acoustic artist, with a huge diversity in her repertoire from country music to RnB.

Steve Amosa

Steve Amosa is a Canberra music juggernaut, having performed acoustically solo, with any one of his equally talented family members, to on stage as the Wizard of Oz in Canberra Theatre’s recent production of Wicked. Be sure not to miss his smooth vocals as he covers all your favourite hits.

Sean Gautusa/H-Cee Family

Sean is one of Canberra’s busiest live musicians, with a repertoire suited to any occasion. While he specialises in soul and R&B, he can hold his own with plenty of pub classics, and even some country. Sean can also perform as a duo, trio, or full band H-Cee Family.

Tommy Harrigan

Formerly of Canberra duo, Second Avenue, Tommy has begun pursuing his career as a solo musician. With a huge online presence, be sure to come see what all the fuss is about.

Vendulka Wichta

Having received great exposure from more than one stint on X Factor, Vendulka has only further honed her vocal abilities, and is not to be missed.
