THE PROCEDUREYour practitioner will use a Genuine Dermaroller™ medical

device to produce thousands of micro-medical needle columns

in the skin. Each column will penetrate into the dermis of the

skin and the columns will close rapidly, enabling the skin to

recover quickly - often in the same day. Your practitioner

will use a topical anaesthetic to numb the skin making the

procedure comfortable; it will normally take at least 30 minutes

for the topical anaesthetic to work and approximately 20

minutes for the GD® Skin Rejuvenation procedure depending

upon the area being treated.

After a GD® Skin Rejuvenation procedure your body will start

to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below

the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen

is formed, new skin cells are generated and the dermis is

enhanced. It can take up to six weeks before visible signs

of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will

continue over the following months, providing you with a

natural and long lasting enhancement.

Your practitioner will normally recommend that your

GD® Skin Rejuvenation consists of a series of three GD® Skin

Rejuvenation procedures with approximately six weeks

between them. Depending on your particular skin complaint

it may be necessary to increase the number of treatments

required. Alternatively your practitioner may feel that an

eDS® Skin Rejuvenation treatment using the eDermastamp™

medical device, either on its own or in combination with the

Genuine Dermaroller™, may be the most benefi cial course of

action to achieve maximum results.

AFTER PROCEDURE

SKINCARE

Immediately after your GD® Skin Rejuvenation procedure

you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your

skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to

subside after one to two hours and will normally recover within

24 hours, with only slight redness the following day. Your

practitioner may well apply a post procedure recovery gel after

your treatment to help soothe and calm the skin, and ask you

to continue to use this at home until the redness subsides.

After the treatment your practitioner may apply a Hyaluronic

acid based product to hydrate and plump the skin, or a

regenerating serum to further enhance the treatment

response.

Application of high-level sun and photo protection is also

essential after the procedure. AesthetiCare® recommend

one of the Heliocare® broad spectrum UV high or very high

protection SPF50 or SPF50+ products, your practitioner will

guide you. Continue to apply this on a daily basis during the

treatment course even during the winter or on cloudy days.

Use tepid water to cleanse the face until the redness has

gone and dry gently. Always make sure your hands are clean

when touching the treated area.

Once the redness has cleared following a GD ® Skin

Rejuvenation procedure, it is important that the skin is

cared for on an ongoing daily basis with an e� ective

anti-ageing regime. An e� ective regime will typically use

medigrade products to:

� Provide photo and anti-oxidant protection

� Enhance the rejuvenation process

GD ® Home-Care Epidermal Skin Rejuvenation uses the HC9

Dermaroller™ device. Used two to three times a week at

home under the direction of your aesthetic practitioner, it will

stimulate the epidermis, improving your anti-ageing skincare

regimes and your in-clinic treatments. Ask you aesthetic
