    Configuration & Interfacing the DC Motor with Siemens 6RA70 Dc Drive

    I] CUD Pin Configuration:

    1] Connector no:X171

    Pin No: 36 ( Forward/ Reverse command) ( User functions)

    Pin No:37 ( Run Command ) ( Siemens Standed Pin )

    Pin No:38 ( Drive Enable Signal ) ( Siemens Standed Pin )

    Pin No:39 ( Jog Mode Selection ) (User Function )

    Ii] Sequence of drive operation

    1] E.Stop realize ON Drive enable signal ( Pin no:38)

    2] Spindle run in jog mode = ON both Run command + Jog mode selection 3] Spindle run in continous mode = ON both Run command + Forward for spindle.

    Pin 36 Configuration: (Forward/ Reverse command) ( User functions) If Pin 36 is high (1) it is reverse command.

    If pin 36 is Low (0) it is forward Command.

    Parameter no: P671 = 11 & P672 = 10

    Pin 39 Configuration: ( Jog Mode Selection ) (User Function )

    If Pin 39 is high (1) it is reverse command.

    If pin 39 is Low (0) it is forward Command.

    Parameter no: P401 = (Forward RPM in % )

    P402 = ( Reverse RPM in % )

    P456 = 10

    P455 (1)= 401

    P455 (2)=402

    P436 (1) =230

    P668 (1) = 16

    Iii] OutPut Pin Configuration:

    1] Pin no:14 & 15 ( RPM Meter output from drive ) Operating voltage is 0-10V

    Change parameter: P750=167

    2] Pin no: 48 & 54 (Alarm for Drive fault ) When drive is fault ,24V Dc voltage comes from the Pin

    Change parameter: P772= 106

    3] Zero speed output:Pin no:47 & 46

    When the motor is in Zero speed the drive gives 24V Dc.

    Change Parameter: P771 = 121

    P373= 0.2% ( Speed is mentioned in this parameter )

    P 051 Parameter can be changed = 40

    P 051 Default setting = 21

    P 052 To visible all parameters = 3

    P 078.001 ( 3 phase input for drive ) =

    P 078.002 ( 2 phase input for field ) =

    P 100 ( Armature rated current ) =

    P 101 ( Armature rated voltage ) =

    P 102 ( Rated field current ) =

    P 104 ( Speed ) =

    P 108 ( Maximum operating speed ) =

    P 083 ( we are using tacho ) = 1 (If tacho is used 1, If not 0)

    P 741 ( Tacho voltage at maximum speed ) =

    Eg: 1000RPM/10V means

    Max RPM is 3000 ,then tacho voltage will be 30.

    P 082 ( Field gets ON together with line contactor ) = 1

    P 081 ( Field weakening is done ) =

    P 303 ( Acceleration ) =

    P 304 ( Deceleration ) =

    P 305 ( Initial rounding ) =

    V] After Entering the Above all Parameters & Pin configuration. Do the

    below mentioned Tuning.

    P051 = 25 ( Lock the motor shaft and do this tuning )

    Step 1 : ON the Run command.

    Step 2 : Main contactor gets ON automatic for few seconds.

    Step 3 : Main contactor gets OFF automatic.

    Step 4 : Now switch OFF the run command.

    P 051 = 27 ( Without locking the shaft we can do this tuning )

    Step 1 : ON the Run command.

    Step 2 : Main contactor gets ON automatic for few seconds.

    Step 3 : Main contactor gets OFF automatic.

    Step 4 : Now switch OFF the run command.
