PROJECT OWNERS PANEL DISCUSSION.THE FUTURE OF PETROCHEMICALS IN EUROPE AND THE CIS REGION: INDUSTRY RENAISSANCE OR CONTINUOUS RETREAT?Last July, INEOS announced their €2.7 billion capital project consisting of a world-scale propane dehydrogenation plant and the first cracker to be built in Europe in over 20 years. Many believe that this “game-changing” investment is a clear sign that the European petchem industry is no longer declining and is beginning to grow. OMV, MOL, Lukoil, SIBUR, Gazprom neft, Total and BASF will share their views on the future of petrochemicals in Europe and the CIS region.

The panellists will disclose key failures that they have faced in handling projects and will present their solutions. To keep the discussion open and informal, no press will be allowed for this session.
