Rwyf o’r farn fod disgyblion Blwyddyn 11 sy’n dychwelyd i’r 6ed Dosbarthyn elwa’n fawr o’r cyrsiau, yr arweiniad ar gefnogaeth sydd ar gael iddyntgan athrawon sy’n eu hadnabod ers nifer o flynyddoedd.

Fel pennaeth y 6ed Dosbarth fy mhrif ddyletswyddau yw arwain a chefnogi ein pobl ifanc isicrhau llwyddiant, boed hynny wrth iddynt ddechrau ar gyrsiau coleg neu brifysgol, ym mydgwaith neu’n brentisiaeth. Rydym yn rhoi pwyslais arbennig ar ddatblygu sgiliau ac anogwnein myfyrwyr i ddatblygu’n bersonol yn ogystal ag yn academaidd. Our sixth form is large enough to offer a range of courses and the opportunity to work withnew people. However, we are small enough to be able to offer excellent pastoral care andsupport. All sixth formers are allocated a personal tutor and have daily access to the Head ofSixth Form. Students also have the opportunity to speak with a Career’s Advisor from Career’sWales. There is also a comprehensive induction programme to ensure all our students feelconfident as they begin their Sixth Form studies.

Mae’n 6ed Dosbarth yn ddigon mawr i gynnig ystod eang o gyrsiau a chyfleoedd i’n myfyrwyrgyd-weithio â phersonel newydd. Mae’n 6ed dosbarth yn le hynaws a chyfeillgar sy’n cynniggofal bugeiliol a chefnogaeth heb ei ail. Mae gan pob un o’ myfyrwyr diwtor personol. MaeCynhelydd Dysgu a Phennaeth y 6ed Dosbarth ar gael iddynt yn ddyddiol. Mae gan y myfyrwyrgyfle i gyd-weithio â Chyngorydd Gyrfaoedd o gwmni Gyrfa Cymru. Mae gennym raglenanwytho cynhwysfawr sy’n sicrhau bod ein myfyrwyr yn teimlo’n hyderus wrth iddyntddechrau ar eu hastudiaethau 6ed Dosbarth.

Mae traddodiad o ganlyniadau Lefel Ac aruchel yma yn Ysgol Uwchradd Caergybi. Addysgiry myfyrwyr gan athrawon hynod brofiadol ac ymroddedig. ‘Mae ansawdd yr addysgu yn yChweched Dosbarth yn dda. Mae’r ffigurau’n amgenach na ffigurau targed cenedlaethol.’(Adroddiad Arolygiad Estyn 2006)

We have a tradition of gaining good results at A level. The sixth form are taught by highlyexperienced and dedicated teachers. “The quality of teaching in the Sixth Form is good. It isahead of national target figures” (Estyn Inspection Report)
