Dear RKA Community, Each Spring I ask the staff to nominate students to receive awards for their accomplishments in academics, athletic and the arts. We at RKA feel it is important to acknowledge excellence and achievement in each of these areas. We also value reflection and commitment to growth which you will see highlighted in the most improved catego-ries. And, in this program you will also see students highlighted for making the Principal’s List (90 for each of the first 5 full marking peri-ods as well as our Honor Society students who earn 85% and above at the semester and complete community service. This year given our extraordinary circumstances, we added yet another category called “Remote Super Star” to allow us to recognize those students who have truly excelled through effort and achievement in the Re-mote Learning Environment. I know this has been an extraordinarily difficult year for students, staff and parents alike. Although I am deeply disappointed that I can-not be there to see you receive your acknowledgment and celebrate with your families taking pictures, proudly displaying your certificates and trophies, please know that I am celebrating with you from afar. I miss you and I am proud of each and every RKA student. We all de-serve a round of applause!! 2020 has been the toughest year ever, but we persevered and pre-vailed. I am more confident than ever based on the character and commitment displayed by our students throughout this time that noth-ing can stop us now!
