Healing Mass, Saturday, September 28, 4:30 at St. Bernard’s
A special Healing Mass with the Anointing of the Sick will
be celebrated at St. Bernard’s on Saturday, September 28,
at 4;30. Fr. Joe McCormick will preside assisted by several
other priests. The parish’s Ministers of Communion to the
Sick will also be assisting the priests. All those who are ill or
planning surgery or living with any chronic health condition
are encouraged to attend this Mass to receive this Sacra-
ment of Anointing. Any who suffer weaknesses due to ad-
vanced age are also welcome to share in the power of this
sacrament. We encourage active and able-bodied parish-
ioners to invite and accompany family members, friends or
neighbors who may need assistance in joining us for this in-
spiring liturgy. We also invite individuals who read this and
need a ride to call the parish offices for such assistance.

St. Bernard’s 13th
Annual Capital
Improvement Fund Raffle
How would you like to win $25,000?!?!?
St. Bernard’s is holding its 13th annual fund raiser to
support the Capital Improvement Fund. All proceeds
will go into the Parish Improvement Fund to be used
for upgrades to our building. Last year we were able
to make the final payment on the paving of the north
parking lot. In past years we have been able to install
High Efficient LED lighting throughout the Church’s
exterior; sealing and striping of the south parking lot
and drive way; replace the 7 heating and A/C units;
replace all of the floor covering in the Worship Center
and the foyer; and install High Efficient Lighting in the
foyer. Thank you all who supported the Parish in these
efforts.
This year we will be doing several projects includ-
ing purchasing new office computers and new tables
for our building as well as sealcoating our driveways
and doing some much needed building mainte-
nance.
With your support we will be able to accomplish
our goals.
We are selling chances for $100 each with a 9 prize
winner as follows:
Grand Prize $25,000.
Second Place $4,000,
Third Place $3,000
Forth Place $2,000
Fifth Place $1,000
Sixth Place $1,000
Seventh Place $1,000
Eight Place $ 500
Ninth Place $ 500
Only 1,000 tickets will be sold. You cannot beat
these odds.
If you sell the Grand Prize ticket to someone other
than yourself or family member living with you, you will
receive $500.
Remember that you can split the cost of a ticket
with your friends and/or relatives. Two people can
split a ticket at $50 each or four at $25 each and so
on, as many as you want.
In the event 1,000 tickets are not sold, all prize
monies will be rewarded on a pro-rated basis.
For tickets contact Mike Fricilone @ 708-301-1030,
Don Guinta @ 708-675-9070, or the St. Bernard’s Rec-
tory @ 708-301-3020. There will also be a representa-
tive of the raffle committee available after each
Mass. Credit Cards can be used to purchase tickets.
Thank you for your support and God bless.
