7 PromisesOf God
His Promises Are Sure
Romans 4:13-16
Romans 4:13-16For the promise that he would be
the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, 15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression. 16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.
Acts 13:32-33And we declare to you glad
tidings--that promise which was made to the fathers. 33 God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.”
We know that whatever God promises, He delivers... No exceptions!
Promises of God
• To supply every need we have.
7
Philippians 4:19And my God shall supply all
your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Context: Paul’s reception of the Philippians’ gifts while in Rome.
Promised: (Needs) food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, salvation through Jesus
Not Promised: Luxuries and wants
Promises of God• To supply every need we have.• That His grace is sufficient for us.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10And He said to me, “My grace
is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Romans 5:1-2Therefore, having been
justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
It is through obedient faith that we gain access to the grace of God.
Promises of God• To supply every need we have.• That His grace is sufficient for us.• That His children will not be
overtaken in temptation.

1 Corinthians 10:13No temptation has overtaken
you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Daniel 6:16So the king gave the command,
and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”
Mede King Darius to Daniel
Promises of God• To supply every need we have.• That His grace is sufficient for us.• That His children will not be
overtaken in temptation.• Victory over death.

1 Corinthians 15:17-21And if Christ is not risen, your
faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. 20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.
Promises of God
• To supply every need we have.• That His grace is sufficient for
us.• That His children will not be
overtaken in temptation.• Victory over death.• That all things work together for
good to those who love Him.
7
Romans 8:28And we know that all things
work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
When we suffer, it is not always easy to see. But, God always
delivers on His promises regarding our ultimate good!
Promises of God
• To supply every need we have.• That His grace is sufficient for
us.• That His children will not be
overtaken in temptation.• Victory over death.• That all things work together for
good to those who love Him.• Those who believe and are
baptized will be saved.
7
Mark 16:16He who believes and is
baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
A simple promise, that acknowledges conditions. If we as God requires, we are promised salvation.

John 10:27-28My sheep hear My voice, and
I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
If we choose to belong to His flock, we are guaranteed eternal life.
Conclusion
These promises are supplied to those who belong to God. They are conditioned upon our faith and obedience to Him.
Our appeal is that you live so that the promises of God will be yours.
