Step 5 – Proficiency Test Program (PTP)
Statistical quality assurance programs enabling laboratories worldwide to assess their performance in conducting test methods internally and with other labs worldwide- 190 labs participating in CIS region
- Two hundred units of participation
Programs conducted: Petroleum Textiles Plastics Chemical analysis of metals Mechanical testing of steel Electrical insulating liquids and gases
- Companies participate in “CIS Only” PTP through our partner CIS Center
- Companies in the CIS also have the opportunity to participate in our global program that will measure results against companies all over the world

Step 6 – Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity
Directory of products that have been tested using an ASTM test method through an independent, accredited (or comply with) laboratory. - The ASTM Program provides benefits to
suppliers/manufacturers, purchasers and industry as a whole, because it: Provides suppliers with evidence for their
customers that their declaration of conformity to an ASTM standard test method is supported by being registered and documented with ASTM;
Requires that a qualified testing laboratory that has documented its accreditation or conformance to ISO/IEC 17025 perform the testing;
Provides supplier with increased ability to market and sell their product;
Addresses, in some cases, regulatory pressure to provide greater credibility of a supplier’s self declaration.
