Transport (conveyance, transportation) delays (and long journey (travel, trip)times are a widespread(distributed) phenomenon(process, development) in

    many cities (metropolises, urban ,centre)

today . What are the causes of this problem, and how could the situation be

    improved?

    Oevrcrowdedness,

     Trac,

     Technicalities

!ncreaing population(increase in people number""people) is a reat

    problem(issue,diculty,worry) , .#or instace, suburbs are spreading(e$pand,grow

    , increase, e$pand, widen() rapidly(%uic&ly , swiftly , rapid) away from

downtown(inner city'city centre) in the elbourne city. nfortunately

(regrettably ,sadly , alas) it is increasing the travelling town to the business and

trade centres located in the central part of the city. *ut , this increasing problem

could be brought under control by considering the family planning across the

    nation seriously.

+imilarly, increased number of trac is adding to the problem of long journeys. #or e$ample, at pea& hours the average travel time is increased by

twenty minutes on the main roads. This delay issue could be solved by investing

    in freeways and spacious roads.

    -stly , poor maintenance(up &eep preservation , conservation) of

transport routes is adding to the problem .#or instance,Trains directed towars city

are often delayed due to damage to the railway trac&s(pathway) on . !t should be

made sure that necessary e/ort is palced in maintain theses trac&s in order so

that no delays are faced by the commuters.

!n conclusion, prolonged and delayed journeys are caused by delay in the

service ad increased population and trac.
