    Happiness, peace and

    prosperity are wishedfor by every lip on NewYear, but do we really knowwhat peace means? Peace lieswithin us and we know it too.As we move beyond a year andenter new year, lets all take aresolution to become aware ofthis peace inside and allow oursmiles to reflect the true signof the prosperity that lies in-side us. Here are seven ways todo it.

    1. Give divine a chance, begrateful

    This year, let the devotionflower to its fullest and give it achance to work. Our love, faith& belief should be deep root-

    ed, and then everything elsemoves on its own. The feelingthat I am blessedcan helpyou overcome any failure.Once you realise that you areblessed, then all the com-plaints & grumbling disap-pear, all the insecurities disap-pear & you become grateful,contented and peaceful.

    2. Take out time for yourselfEveryday you are engaged

    in only gathering informationand you do not take out timefor yourself to think and re-flect. Then you feel dull &tired. A few quiet moments aresources for creativity. Silenceheals and rejuvenates and

    gives you depth and stability.Some time during the day, sitfor a few minutes, get into thecave of your heart, eyes closed,and kick the world away like aball. Taking out some time foryourself improves the qualityof your life.

    3. Know lifes imperma-nence

    See the impermanence inthis life. Millions of years havepassed & millions will comeand pass. Nothing is perma-nent. What is your life? It is noteven a drop in the ocean.

    Just open your eyes & ask;who am I? How am I on thisplanet? What is my lifetime?

    Awareness dawns & you willstop worrying about littlethings. All smallness will sim-ply drop & you will be able tolive every moment of your life.If you review the context ofyour life, the quality of your lifeimproves.

    4. Do random acts of kind-

    ness

    Make a commitment tomake this world a better placeto live. Do some acts of kind-ness without expecting any-thing in return. Service alonecan bring contentment in life.It creates a sense of belonging-ness. When you bring some re-lief to someone through self-less service, good vibrationscome to you. When you showkindness, your true naturewhich is love & peace comes toplay.

    5. Make your smile cheaperEvery day, every morning,

    look at the mirror and give agood smile to yourself. Don'tlet your smile be snatched

    away by anybody! Usually, yougive your anger freely andsmile rarely as though a smileis costly. Make your smilecheaper and anger expensive!When you smile all the mus-cles in your face get relaxed.The nerves in your brain getrelaxed and you becomepeaceful within. It gives youthe confidence, courage & en-ergy to move on in life.

    6. Make meditation a part oflife

    When we have higher goalsin life it leads to stress & rest-lessness which can only be re-leased through a few minutesof meditation & introspection.

    Meditation gives you deep rest.Deeper you are able to rest, dy-namic you will be in activity.What is meditation?

    Mind without agitation ismeditation.

    Mind in the present mo-ment is meditation.

    Mind that has no hesitation,no anticipation is meditation.

    Mind that comes back hometo the source which is peace &joy is meditation.

    7. Be a Student alwaysKnow that you are a student

    forever. Do not underestimateanybody. Knowledge maycome to you from any corner.Each occasion teaches you &

    each person teaches you.The world is your teacher.When you are always lookingto learn, you will stop underes-timating others.

    Humility will dawn in yourlife.
