NO HITTER: June 30th vs. GWN was the first time the Bats were no-hit since July 30, 2014 at Columbus. Right-hander Tyler Cloyd threw nine no-hit innings

against LOU, striking out six in a 13-0 COL victory. It was the first time in Bats history and second time in Louisville history that they fell victim to a combined

no-hitter. The other occurrence came in game two of a doubleheader vs. Indianapolis on May 25, 1997 in a 1-0 LOU loss. It was also the second time the Bats

were no-hit by the Gwinnett Braves, with righty Todd Redmond tossing a nine-inning no-no on May 28, 2010, walking two and striking out three for the G-

Braves. Redmond would pitch for the Bats two seasons later, appearing in eight games.

ROAD, SWEET ROAD: The Bats finished with a 38-34 road record in 2016. That is the most wins away from LSF in a season since 2009, when they went 39-

31. The 2009 squad finished as the West Division champions, with an 84-58 record. It is just the fifth time as a Reds’ affiliate that the Bats have had a winning

road record.

BACK-2-BACK POSTPONEMENTS TO START THE SEASON: The Bats and Mud Hens were snowed out for three consecutive days in TOL after playing

through snow, sleet, and rain on Opening Day. The last time LOU was postponed on back-to-back days was 2006 at Ottawa. The two teams played on

Opening Day and then were postponed the next two days due to “venue”. The last time LOU was postponed on back-to-back days due to weather was 4/30/09-

5/1/09 at Buffalo. The game was postponed due to rain on 4/30 and on 5/1, the second game of the DH was postponed due to rain.

FUTURES GAME: For the second straight year, LHP Amir Garrett pitched in the SIRIUSXM All-Star Futures Game. He was in line for the win in San Diego

after being the winning pitcher at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati last year. Unfortunately for him, the International team took the lead in the eighth and

scored seven in the ninth to earn an 11-3 win, but Garrett threw well. He pitched the second and third innings without allowing a hit, walking two.

A JUMBO STREAK: RHP Jumbo Diaz set a new franchise record for longest scoreless streak, at 35 and one-third innings. The streak bested Pat Perry’s

previous record of 29.1 scoreless innings pitched in 1984. Diaz’s streak started last season when he allowed a run in a walk-off loss at COL on 6/8, but then did

not allow a run in Triple-A the rest of the season, spanning 12 appearances. In his first 19 appearances this season, he did not allow a run. On 6/19 against

PAW, he picked up two outs before allowing a run, snapping his streak. He also converted 11 of his 12 save opportunities.

YOU COMPLETE ME: The Bats had three complete games thrown this season. RHP Robert Stephenson threw a six inning complete game in game one of a

double header at TOL on 5/9, going six innings, allowing seven hits and four runs, walking five and striking out two. RHP Daniel Wright had the last two, a nine

inning gem on 5/16 against SWB, allowing three hits and an unearned run, striking out eight. Then, on 7/3 against GWN, Wright won a rain-shortened game at

home, throwing six innings, allowing three hits and a run, walking two and striking out three.

REHAB STARTS: Overall this season, there were 27 rehab starts made for Louisville. Right-handers Tim Adleman, Homer Bailey, Anthony DeSclafani, Jon

Moscot and Alfredo Simon, as well as lefty John Lamb combined to go 4-10 while rehabbing with the Bats. They collected a 5.72 ERA in 107 innings. They

combined to allow 135 hits, 71 runs (68 earned), and 21 home runs, walking 27 and striking out 83.

SHUTOUTS: A NEW FRANCHISE RECORD: LOU played in 26 shutout games this season, going 10-16. The 16 shutout losses are the most by LOU in

franchise history, surpassing the 1996 Redbirds’ squad that was shut out 15 times. The 26 shutout games are the most since LOU played in 28 games (13-15)

in 2013.

UNDER 600 RUNS FOR THE FIFTH STRAIGHT YEAR: The Bats scored 539 runs this season, 33 runs better than the 2015 squad which set a franchise low

with 506 runs. LOU scored fewer than 600 runs for the fifth consecutive season, after scoring at least 600 runs in every season from 1997-2011.

HOLY TOLEDO!: LOU finished 6-19 against TOL, including a 2-11 mark at LSF. The two wins are the fewest since the Bats went 0-2 against the Mud Hens at

Cardinal Stadium in 1991. In two of the last four years (2012, 2014), LOU has won just three games at home against TOL. Overall, the six wins against the Mud

Hens are the fewest since LOU went 6-10 against TOL back in 2005.

REEEEED: LHP Cody Reed started the season in LOU and ended up going 6-4 with a 3.08 ERA in 13 starts. Over two stints with the Bats this season, he

pitched five or more innings in 10 of his 13 starts, and made seven quality starts. He picked up his first Triple-A win on 4/26 at NOR, going five innings, allowing

five hits and one run, walking two and striking out three. Following his win against SYR on 6/13, he was called up to CIN, where he made 10 starts. He came

back to LOU on 8/15 and made two final starts with the Bats, combining to throw eight and one-third innings, allowing 12 hits and two runs, walking three and

striking out two.

STEPHENSON STICKS AROUND: RHP Robert Stephenson made 24 starts with LOU this season, and went 8-9 with a 4.41 ERA. He threw a quality start in

16 of his 24 outings, going 7-4 with a 2.61 ERA in those starts. In 96 and two-thirds innings pitched, he allowed 70 hits and 31 runs (28 earned), walking 39 and

striking out 95. He went six or more innings in 19 of his 24 outings, and went a season high seven and two-thirds innings on 5/27 at LHV. In that start, he had a

perfect game through five innings, but ended up receiving a no-decision as he allowed four runs in a game that the Bats won 6-4 in 11 innings. Overall this

season, he threw 136 and two-thirds innings, walking 71 and striking out 120.

WINKER FINISHES WITH SEVENTH BEST AVERAGE: OF Jesse Winker finished with the seventh best average in the International League, at .303. He,

along with UTI Hernán Iribarren, who won the IL Batting Title with a .327 average, are the first two Bats players to finish in the top 10 in batting since Felix

Perez hit .301 and finished sixth in 2012, and Norris Hopper hit .347 in 2006. Winker finished with 59 walks and 59 strikeouts, and split time between right

field (52 starts) and left field (46).

RAIN DELAYS: The Bats endured 14 rain delays, totaling 15 hours, 31 minutes, which is the longest overall delay time since at least 2005. This season’s

delays bested 2012, when the Bats waited out 14 hours, 31 minutes of delays. This year’s delays included a three hour delay on 5/4 vs. NOR, the third longest

rain delay in franchise history. Then, on 8/20 vs. IND, the Bats had a 2 hour, 40 minute mid-game rain delay, the fourth longest in franchise history. The longest

rain delay in team history was 4 hours, 27 minutes on 6/27/2000 vs. PAW.

POWER OUTAGE: For the second consecutive season the Bats did not have a player hit multiple home runs in a game, extending the franchise long streak.

INF Ruben Gotay on April 8, 2014 was the last Bat to have a multi-homer game.
