Tofulfillhisaspirations, he tookvoluntaryreti rement from service in1961and undertook long journeys to allparts of India and propagated his findings.He delivered lectures dai ly for two weeks at the North Indian Cities', Junar, Poona, Kirkee, Kolhapur, Sholapur, and Ahmednagar, inresponse to wishes of number of Astrologersthere.AfewfromBombay,Kasipet,Busavaland other farawayplacescame toDelhi toattendhislecturesand stayedformonthstolearnhisunique t'!'chnique.Hebecame verypopularandfamous.Findinghismethod,scientific, convincing,clearandverycorrect,moreandmorepeopl e approachedhimforAstrologicalcounselli ngandtheywere flabbergastedby his quick, accurate and uncanny predictions. To further development andresearch onhis system, SriK.S.K.established"ModernStellarAstrologicalResearch Institute"atMadras.In1963,hestartedpubli shingamonthly magazine,"AstrologyandAthrishta"tospreadhissystemnot only in India but alsoinmany countries of East and West. Convincedbyhisscientificexplanations,anduncanny prediction, Kulapati K.M. Munshi , Chancellor of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, appointed Sri .K.S. Krishnamurti, as visiting professor of Astrology inIndia, todeliver lectures regularl y at Delhi . Bombay andMadrasandoccasionall yinotherkendras.Theyalso honoured him by conferring the title 'Jyot hi sh Marthand' with a goldMedal .throughDr.P.v.Cheri an,thethenGovernorof Bombay. InJune1970,he visitedKuala Lumpur onbeinginvitedby 'TheMalayan Astrological Society'whichconferredonhimthe title 'SothidaMannan'with a gold medal.He stayedthere for VI sampathEbooks.about 6 weeks and delivered lectures at various places.He visited SriLanka inNovember 1970, tofulfillthe wishesof thepeople there. These stars(constellations)may be very close to the 27 divisions of the Zodiac or far away, and they may be either to the North or -to the South of the Zodiac.A few groups are very near andinthenext constellationandyet theyarechosenbecause they can be identifiedeasily and they willbe useful for reference andcalculationtolocate whereaparticular constellation would commenceandendintheHeavens:further,thereisnoother constellation within or near the zone which can be unmistakably identified.Therefore, these27starsareto guide us,$0 thatwe cancalculateandascertainthepositionofthe27zonesinthe Zodiac, eachmeasuring130.20'. These27constellati onsaregovernedbythe9planets. Hence, eachplanet rulesover threezones atan intervalof 1200 (e.g.)KETHU- Aswini.Makam.Moolam.VENUS(Sukra)-9harani,Pooram,Pooradamandso on. These zones modify the results of theplanets transitting the Zodiac and not thestars, scattered in the Heavens which are far, faraway.PlanetsaretheimmediateneighboursofourMother Earth and these belong to one family. Probably this is the reason whytheyhaveselectedonly27groupsofstarseventhough therearenumberlessstarsintheskywhichcaninfluencethe earthasmuch as these27groups. Suppose(a)thereisa lightinthecentre of a circular room provided with12 glass panes of different colours(b)around the room there is a verandah and outside it, there are 27 glass panes of which the colour,1,10 and19, is the same; 2, 11and 20 differ from1,10,19but these three areof the same colour; 3,12 and 21:differ fromothers but these three of the same colour as they belong to one group.Similarly, all the 27panes are of 9 different colours. It may be clear and it may illuminate to a maximum oritmaybedullrenderingthelight,weak.Thestrengthand modificationofthecolourdepends,onthemirrorbehindthe bulb(whichisthereflector)whichdenotes whetheraplanetis exalted andstrongor debilitatedand weak. Alsosupposeonecolouredslideisinsertedbetweenthe torchlightandtheobserver thiscolour dependsonthelordof theconstellation "C" when'P'is theplanet(which isthebulb) . Therefore, the results ofa planet in different positions in the Zodiac, indifferentsignsanddifferentconstellations,issimilar tothelightfromthetorchgettingmodifiedandtheresultant becomingabsolutelyfromtheoriginallight,unlessall thecolours aresimilar to thatof the planet . In my researches, I foundone should not satisfy himself withthemodificationof thelordoftheconstellationalone.But one has to find out further subdivisions, which should be scientific, so thaione can explain thedifferencesbetween twinbirths. Suppose,we do not subdivide, then weoffer prediction taking into consideration, thesituation of a planet ina particular sign and star. It will be similar to saying that a particular dasa of a person willbe brilliant. Thedasa lord may be Venus.It willrunfor20years.Even,though,ingeneral,these20years might haveprovedto be beneficial,yet therewouldhavebeen occasionswhenhecouldhavehaddifficulties,trialsand tribulationsalso,butthesedifficultieswhencomparedtothe beneficial results, may not be much. It may be similar to a person being foretoldthat he wouldgaininaraceon aparticular day. No doubt he may lose in the first race, lose in the second, gain in thethird,againloseinthe fourthandgain' in thelast few races. Whenwecalculate,wemayfindthathehadgainedonthat particularday.Butconsiderhisanxietywheneverhelost , especially in the first two races. It is similar to taking a planet, the signandthestarinwhichitwasandpassingjudgment.But according to "Krishnamurti it will be possible to say that he will gain at a particular time and also conclude that itisa day ofprofit.Thismethodofforecastisnolmerelyadvantageous, butcorrectandconvincingaswell. Suppose a person is told that during VenusDasa, he will be fortunate.Nodoubt duringVenusDasa,VenusBhukthihegets married. Venus dasa Sun Bhukthi he starts business; Venus dasa, MoonBhukthihegoesoverseas; Venusdasa, MarsBhukthi he hasa son,Venusdasa Jupiter Bhukthi thereisexpansion in the businessandhehasanother child.DuringVenusdasa,Saturn Bhukthi there is some labour trouble andminor losses.In Venus dasa,MercuryBhukthiheopensbranches,takesup agencies andduringVenusdasa,KethuBhukthihevisitsvariouspilgrim On the whole, no doubt, the person get married, started business,wentoverseas,expandedbusinessandstabilizedit. Also,onewouldnotforgetthathehadlostamemberofthe family,hadlabour trouble,sufferedsomelossandhadworries forsometime.Ifapersonisinformedthatinthese20years, Venus will cause Rajayoga it will not help him much. So, the dasa of 20 yearsissubdividedinto subpcriods otherwise called bhukthis. Onthesameanalogy,I establishedthatthedivisionofa constellation was necessary if correctresults are tobe forecast.. Supposea personisinformedthathe willhaveverygood business andprofit on a particular day, hefeelsdepressed. till2 P.M .. ,astherewasnobusinesstillthenandinthesehourshe loseshisfaithinastrology;buttheplanetssoadjustthata few marriagepartiesenterhis shop andmakepurchasesfromhim foranamountmuchgreaterthanwhathehadbeennormally collectingdaily.Ifthesameastrologercouldtellhimthatonly between 2 and 4 P.M; on that day he would do excellent business, wouldhave beenadvantageous forboth. So,the subdivisionof the constellation are an imperative necessity to predict exact time of event. Again, as a result of intensive research, it has been possible tofindoutwhyapersonreceivingafewlettersonadayina particularmoment, feelsveryhappy whenhegoes through the contents of a latter, nextfeelsdejected anddepressed whenhe readstheother,getsirritatedwhenhegoesthroughthethird andsoon.Itwasfoundthat theAscendant andthe cusp of the houses move faster than theplanets and itis the ascendant and the cusp of the houses which explain such rapid changes, though therelativepositionamongplanetsandtheir occupationof the star andsubremain the same. The ascendant can move ina sign for about 2 hours but in a constellation, it can only be for about 50 to 58 minutes. But certain eventsmayhappenwithinanintervalof10or15minutes. Therefore, there should be some other minute factor which brings aboutvaryingresultsina veryshort time. This method was found to be convincing and scientific. Letus takeanother example. Suppose, we judge theresults according to thetransit of theplanets. It isgenerall ystatedthat Saturn whi le transitting the 111hhouse will produce most desirable rC:iiJlts. Saturnwillbe passing through the11thhouse,roughly fora periodoftwoanda half years.Saturnsignifiescertainmatters tothepersonaccordingtohischartandonlysuchof those matters alonewillbeexpectedbyhim.Itisnot uncommon(1) thatfora longtimeafter theentry of Saturninto the11m house, thepersoncontinuestosufferandisnotabletoreconcile(2) some actuall y suffer all the time whereas they enjoy when Saturn transits in the12"sign.When Saturn isin11 , what actually one Willenjoy or experience depends on thelord of the constellation andthelordof thesub,accordingtoKrishnamurtiSystemand thiswouldexplain whythegeneralrulefails. Firstof all , I wouldlike to say emphatically Ihat allpersons havingSaturnin11cannotexpectfavourableresultsbecause the ascendant may be different and the lords of the constellations inthe11 thhousemayberulingevilhousestothatlagna-born. Thereby the person will experience difficulties through the source indicated by Saturn(the transitingplanet). But . according to my technique, whenSaturn ispassingin a constellation, throughout thatperiod,heneitherenjoysnorsufferuniformlybutduring certainperiodshefindsbeneficialresultscompensatingfor the difficulties.ThemethodwhichI advocatewillprovetobevery correctanditcannever fail; because,I takethe subdivisionof the constellation.The constellation indicates the matters signified by itslord; theplanet transitinginfluencessuchresultsdenoted bythelordofthestarthroughthesourcedenotedbythe transittingplanet(bynature, lordship andoccupation)anditis thesub-lordwhichdecideswhethertheresultisfavourableor unfavourable.Thelordoftheconstellationissimilar to thelord of a dasa of theVimsl!othari system, whereas thesub is thelord 10PUOICTIVESTELLAR.ASTROLOGY . sampathEbooks.ofthesubperiodorBhukthi.So,Ihaveevolvedamethodto dividetheconstellationbaseduponthesoundprincipleof astrology, whichwillappealto one andall. InAswini,thefirstsubisallottedtoKethu, thesecondto Venus,thethird to Sun, the fourth to Moon andso on tillthe last subisgiventoMercury.AswiniisruledbyKethu.Sothefirst sub isallonedKethu.
