•During Epi Week 12, (437/437) 100% of the health facilities across 5 Governorates provided surveillance data for all EWARN Syndromes this week, and 73% of reporting sites submitted the weekly reports on time. •The consultations reported this week were 200,308 (including 38% children under the age of five) compared to 210,352 consultations in the previous week. •8 AFP (Acute Flaccid Paralysis) cases were reported during Epi week 12. •EWARN labs reported: 2 positive cases of Measles IgM (A'zaz), 9 positive cases of Mumps IgM (Harim), and 4 positive cases of HAV IgM (A'zaz 1 - Idleb 3). •The highest syndromes reported were respectively: ILI (31,359), OAD (12,970), and SARI (476). •Al-Hasakeh governorate recorded the highest proportional morbidity for SARI (0,7%), ILI (29,5%), and OAD (14,3%). •Deir ez zor governorate recorded the highest proportional morbidity for OAD (14,3%), STF (1,4%), and Leish (1,3%). •Regarding Acute Respiratory illnesses surveillance: •DLOs training was conducted via Skype for the Covid-19 disease on 21 and 22 March, Training includes: -SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 : transmission methods, clinical symptoms and diagnosis according to current information - the basics of disease surveillance including the currently approved case definition - ways of collecting samples, package them and sending them to the lab- the basics about case management, and basics of personal prevention - the basics of environmental sanitation procedures associated with the disease - the basics of risk communication. -FLOs training will be from March 23 to 26. -2 specimens from 2 suspected cases for Covid-19 were investigated in the Turkish laboratories and the results came negative. The collection of respiratory specimens from suspected cases of Coved-19 disease has been initiated for analysis by the Idleb lab. -Ongoing monitoring the trends of ILI and SARI to detect any possible alerts and initiate the verification protocols accordingly. -Regular participation with COVID-19 Task Force and update the activities in the pillars that we involved.

•خلال الأسبوع الوبائي 12 أرسل 100% من المراكز المبلّغة (437 من 437) تقاريرهم الأسبوعية من المحافظات الخمسة، وقد وصل 73% منها في الوقت المحدد. •بلغ إجمالي الاستشارات المبلغة في هذا الأسبوع الوبائي 200,308 (منها 38% أطفال بعمر أقل من 5 سنوات) مقارنة بـ 210,352 استشارة في الاسبوع السابق. •تم الابلاغ عن 8 حالات شلل رخو حاد خلال الأسبوع 12. •سجّلت مختبرات شبكة الانذار المبكر: حالتين إيجابيتي IgM الحصبة (اعزاز)، 9 حالات إيجابية IgM النّكاف (حارم)، و4 حالات إيجابية IgM التهاب الكبد A (اعزاز 1 - ادلب 3). •أعلى الامراض المسجلة كانت على الترتيب: اشتباه الانفلونزا (31,359)، الاسهال الحاد لأسباب أخرى (12,970)، المرض التنفسي الحاد الشديد (476). •سجلت محافظة الحسكة المعدل الأعلى للمراضة النسبية لكل ٍمن: المرض التنفسي الحاد الشديد (0,7%)، واشتباه الانفلونزا (29,5%)، الاسهال الحاد لأسباب أخرى (14,3%). •سجلت محافظة دير الزور المعدل الأعلى للمراضة النسبية لكل من: الاسهال الحاد لأسباب أخرى (14,3%)، اشتباه الحمى التيفية (1,4%)، والليشمانيا الجلدية (1,3%). •فيما يخص ترصّد الأمراض التنفسية: •تم اجراء تدريب منسقي المناطق (DLOs) عبر السكايب حول مرض Covid-19 خلال 21 و22 آذار، وتضمّن التدريب: -معلومات عن فيروس SARS-CoV-2 المسبب لمرض COVID-19 : طرق انتقال العدوى، الأعراض السريرية والتشخيص حسب المعلومات المتوافرة حاليًا- أساسيات ترصد المرض بما فيها تعريف الحالة المعتمد حاليًا - طرق جمع العينات، حفظها وإرسالها إلى المخبر - أساسيات تدبير الحالة والوقاية الشخصية - أساسيات إجراءات الإصحاح البيئي المرتبطة بالمرض - أساسيات التواصل في حالات المخاطر الخاصة بالمرض. -يتم اجراء تدريب المنسقين الميدانين (FLOs) في الفترة بين 23 حتى 26 آذار. -إجراء التقصي المخبري لعينات من حالتي اشتباه وذلك في المختبرات التركية وكانت النتيجة سلبية لـ Covid-19. تم البدء بجمع العينات التنفسية من الحالات المشتبهة لكي يتم تحليلها بالمختبر الوبائي في ادلب خلال الأسبوع الوبائي 13. -الاستمرار في مراقبة البيانات الوبائية لحالات المرض التنفسي الحاد الشديد SARI واشتباه الانفلونزا ILI للكشف عن أي إنذار محتمل والبدء الباكر بالتقصي. -المشاركة الدورية في مجموعة العمل Taskforce حول COVID-19 وتحديث أنشطة المرتكزات الخاصة بالبرنامج.

•The number of the reported STF cases during Epi week 12 was 422 with the highest proportional morbidity in Deir ez Zor governorate (1,4%). •The number of the reported AJS cases during the same time period was 438, with the highest proportional morbidity in Deir ez Zor governorate (0,7%). •EWARN field team reported 12,970 OAD new cases, and 133 new cases of ABD. •Water borne diseases risk scale is being generated and followed on community level and on monthly basis in all EWARN coverage areas. •EWARN informed partners & WASH team about the districts with high WBDs levels.

•In Epi-week 12/2020, the total number of new suspected cases of measles was 7 new cases from Aleppo (A'zaz 1), Idleb (Harim 2 - Idleb 3), and Ar-Raqqa (Ath-Thawrah 1). •0 suspected measles cases have been investigated during Epi Week 12, due to current recommendation for social distance. •The coordination with SIG is ongoing to vaccinate children either IDPs and host communities through EPI centers and mobile teams in Idleb and Aleppo. •It is recommended to isolate the cases, personal hygienic, supply vitamin A and educate parents about the importance of the vaccine. •The total number of suspected meningitis cases during Epi week 12 was 12 in both Aleppo and Idleb governorates (in Aleppo 5 and in Idleb 7). Neither clinical nor laboratory evidence for Neisseria meningitidis is existing. •The number of the reported suspected Pertussis cases was 92, the highest number reported from Quamishli district (36 cases). No complications were reported due to pertussis. •The number of reported suspected Mumps cases was 89, the highest number reported from Harim district (34 cases). Upon following up the 10 months infant with complicated Mumps in A’zaz district (abscess in the submandibular area and empyema), the infant was successfully managed and discharged home. However, his laboratory result came positive for Mumps IgM. In general, most of the reported suspected cases are > 5 years. •Neither Neonatal tetanus cases were notified, nor diphtheria cases.

•في الأسبوع الوبائي 12/2020, سجلت 7 حالات جديدة لاشتباه الحصبة من محافظات: حلب (اعزاز 1)، وادلب (حارم 2 - ادلب 3)، والرقة (الثورة 1). •لم يتم تقص حالات اشتباه حصبة خلال هذا الأسبوع نظراً للتوصيات الحالية بالتباعد الاجتماعي. •يتم الاستمرار بالعمل والتنسيق مع فريق لقاح سوريا بشكل مستمر من أجل تلقيح الأطفال في المخيمات والمناطق في ادلب وريفها وريف حلب سواء عبر مراكز اللقاح الروتيني أو فرق التلقيح الجوّالة. •تمت التوصية بعزل الحالات، النظافة الشخصية، إعطاء فيتامين أ والشرح للأهالي حول أهمية اللقاح. •بلغ عدد حالات اشتباه التهاب السحايا في محافظتي حلب وإدلب 12 خلال هذا الأسبوع (حلب 5 وإدلب 7). لا يوجد دليل سريري أو مخبري لحالات التهاب سحايا بالنيسيريا السحائية. •بلغ عدد حالات السعال الديكي المسجلة هذا الأسبوع 92 حالة، سجل العدد الأعلى للحالات في منطقة القامشلي (36 حالة). لم تسجل أي اختلاطات بسبب السعال الديكي. •بلغ عدد حالات النكاف المشتبهة المبلغة هذا الأسبوع 89، سجل العدد الأعلى للحالات في منطقة حارم (34 حالة). لدى متابعة حالة الرضيع ذو الـ 10 أشهر والمختلطة بالتهاب نسيج خلوي مع خراج تحت الفك السفلي وتقيح جنب قد تلقى العلاج بشكل ناجح وتم تخرجيه إلى المنزل، الجدير بالذكر أنه تم تأكيد النكاف مخبرياً لدى هذا الطفل. عموماً معظم الحالات المسجّلة في الفئة العمرية الأكبر من خمس سنوات. •لا يوجد أي إبلاغ عن حالات كزاز الوليد أو الدفتريا خلال هذا الأسبوع.
