This will be the first window you will be viewing after switching on the laptop.Now click on the Nokia BTS H/W configurarator.Using this u will be

able to design the S/W configuration that u installed in the BTS.This needs to be uploaded into the BTS,so that control card of BTS(BOI) will be

aware of the cards installed in it and be able to carry out the call process accordingly.

So double click the icon,then the the next window follows.

This will be the window u will be viewing after clicking the icon.Now go to the menu bar and click the configuration lable.The wizard option wsill

be appearing.

So now click on this wizard option.

Now u got a new window by the name of configuration wizard.There will be three options in this window as Search for new configuration

candidate,Create new configuration & Check BTS configuration and update BTS.From this u have to select create new configuration option and

click next.

Then u will see another window on the screen as select sector configuration.Here in this slide u r seeing a white shaded area in which u will be

viewing existing configurations, If ur BTS is having one of those select it and click next. If not then select new and then press next.

So next window will be Define TSX configuration, in which we will define the connections while creating totally new configuration, but here since

we selected existing one there is no need to change.So press next.

Next will be the Define RX diversity cabling which is also a predefined thing and need not be altered here in this case.So click next.

In this following window if we are using MHAs then we need to alter some data,but mostly there will be no need for that beca use MHAs r very

rarely used.So simply press next.

Now click finish icon to complete the TSX,RX & Antenna cabling configuration report.

Now its turn to define each and every card installed in the BTS.This can be done by right clicking the white shaded region which will be displaying

a option as properties in which we can define about all the cards.

This small window will appear after clicking the properties.In this window u will be viewing the option as type in wnich each and every card is

present .We have to select which card we r defining.After selecting the type of the card we have to define the slot in which it has been inserted and

what is the number in order in the index and also the model in name.These options will be highlightened after selecting the type of card.And remind

that not to forget when EDGE TSx s r present select someoption in the EDGE TSxs slot,at the same time select network type whether it is GSM900 or GSM 1800 etc.Then click ADD.Continue adding remaining cards also as shown in the wfollowing windows.

After defining all the cards according to the requirement we have to upload this configuration to BTS.For this goto the menu bar there will be a

option called as BTS.Clic on that which will be displaying a option as send BTS configuration. Click on that.

Click YES on this mini window to start the process of sending the configuration to BTS.

Then a mini window displaying the process of reading data from node will appear.Wait until the process completes and after completion a active

alarm window will open.Just simply close that window behind which a window representing Transmission card (RRI) data will be present and in

which we have to specify the data as given by RF engineer.

After closing the active alarm window this will be window on ur screen.On this screen single click on the RRI card once.Now after a little time u

will observe a change in option displayed in the menu bar.This can be identified in the next window.

The above process completed the commissioning of RRI card.Now its turn to define the Synchronization priority of BTS.For this go back to menu

bar and click on the configuration option.This displays a list of sub options such as Commissioning wizard,cross

connections,identifications,synchronization,Q1 management,Traffic manager etc.Of them select Synchronization.

Then a mini window displays representing the process of reading the cross connections.After the completion of this process automatically the

synchronization window displays.
