From NW 170 Street (Miami-Dade County) to I-595 (Broward County)

Project Limits

Scope of Work

• Constructing Express Lanes in the existing I-75 median

• Constructing ingress and egress points throughout the corridor

• Constructing direct connections to 595 Express, Palmetto Express and

Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike (HEFT)

• Reconstructing the interchanges along the corridor

• Constructing sound barrier walls at various locations

• Installing additional traffic cameras, dynamic message signs and toll

gantries

• Adding new signals, signage, lighting and landscaping

Segment E

Monday, September 21 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

• All lanes of northbound Sawgrass Expressway at the I-595 interchange will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to eastbound I-595 (Exit 19), exit Flamingo Road, make a U-turn at Flamingo Road, then continue westbound on SR 84 to re-enter westbound I-595 and take the exit to northbound Sawgrass Expressway (Exit 19).

• All lanes of eastbound I-595 will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to take the exit ramp at Glades Parkway (Exit 22), continue eastbound on SR 84 to Flamingo Road to re-enter I-595 eastbound.

• The entrance ramp from Weston Road to eastbound I-595 will be closed. Motorists will continue on eastbound SR 84 to enter eastbound I-595, just east of Flamingo Road.

• One lane of EB SR 84 at SW 148 Avenue will be closed.

Upcoming Closures

Segment E

Tuesday, September 22 and Wednesday, Sept 23• The entrance ramp from Weston Road to eastbound I-595 will be

closed from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Motorists will continue on eastbound SR 84 to enter eastbound I-595, just east of Flamingo Road.

• One lane of EB SR 84 at SW 148 Avenue will be closed.

Thursday, September 24 and Monday, September 28• All lanes of eastbound SR 84 will be closed 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Motorist will be detoured to enter I-595 eastbound, then exit at Flamingo Road (Exit 2) to continue on eastbound SR 84.

*This schedule may change due to inclement weather or other unexpected conditions.
