CongratulaAons!InpurchasingtheLWRCIRapidEngagementPrecisionRifle,younowhave themost capable7.62x51mmNATOsemi‐automa3crifleintheworld.LWRCI’s goal was todesignanddeliverarifle thatwas more reliable,userfriendlyandwhileas accurateas a custombolt‐ac3onsniper rifle. The system is user configurable for day or night use. The systemwasdesignedtousemul3pleupper receivergroupsfromashort12.7”barreledupper tothe20”Sniperupper.

Thesystem is loosely based on theStoner AR architecture topreservethefeel andmusclememoryassociatedwithrifles basedontheStonerdesign. That is where the familiarityends.Thebarrel toreceiverinterfaceisalmostthree3mes more robustthananyotherrifle. Barrelsare cold‐rotary hammer forged over a precisionmandrel and boast perfect bores that areconsistent in concentricity 0.0002”. The barrel is finishedmachined inprofiles tomaximizeaccuracyandminimizetheadverseeffects ofbarrelwhipandharmonics.Atargetcrownis usedtomaximize hit probability. Thebarrel is finished intheNiCorr surfaceconversionprocess.NiCorr is harderthanchromeandoffersalowerco‐efficientoffric3onaddingtobarrel lifeandmuzzlevelocity. Itmakesthebarrels easier tocleanas theydonotfoul withcopperas readilyandare virtually impervioustocorrosion. Thematerial chosenforthebarrel isthesameusedontheM2.50calibermachinegun.

Theweapon features a lee sidenon‐reciproca3ng charging handlewith integrated forwardassist. Thisallowstheuser tooperatetheac3onwithoutcheekweldandthus keepeyes ontarget. It alsoallowedLWRCItoseal theupper andlowerreceiverattherear endpreven3nggasfrombeingpropelledintotheuserseyewhenasuppressorisused.

Thereis a gas adjustmentfeature allowinga broaduseofammuni3ontypesavailable,op3mizethesystemforsuppressoruse,orshutoffthegasen3relyforamanuallyoperatedrifle.

All moving parts of the ac3onare coatedinNiBor. NiBor is a very hardpla3ng process thatincludesa Nickel compositethatacts as apermanentlubricantminimizingtheneedforbreakin,orliquidlubrica3on.

The Rapid Engagement Precision Rifle (R.E.P.R.) series are gas piston operated, rotary bolt,magazine‐fed, air‐cooled, self‐loading rifles chambered in 7.62x51mmNATO/.308 Win fromLWRCInterna3onal.

2.1.6.1 SelectorLever(14.)

Locatedonthelee sideof the lower receiver, theselector lever func3onsas the manualsafetyofthe R.E.P.R.andalsothefirecontrol selectoronselectfire weapons.Thereceiverismarkedwithpictogramsofallthreemodesoffire:

SAFE= Preventsthetriggerfromreleasingthetrigger.SEMI‐AUTOMATIC= Allowsoneshotperpullofthetrigger.AUTOMATIC= RiflewillshootandloadmulApleshotsunAlthetriggeris released.

All LWRCI rifles are marked with all theAUTO seeng however theAUTO sesng isonlyfunc3onalinaselect‐fireweapon(Military andLawEnforcementOnly). TheAUTOsesngcannotbeengagedinasemi‐automa3cweapon.SAFEcanonlybeengagedwhentheweaponischargedandthetriggeriscocked.

2.1.6.2 Trigger(15.)

The Trigger is used to fire the weapon. It is enclosed by the Trigger Guard. R.E.P.R. 18equippedwithMATCH2‐stagetriggers. Thesehave a heavierandlonger 1st stage(approx.4lbs pull)anda lighter,crisp2ndstagebreak(approx.1 lb.).R.E.P.R. 20 is equippedwithanadjustable2‐stage trigger. PleasefollowGeisseleAutoma3c’s instruc3ons foradjus3ngthetrigger.

CAUTION:Adjus3ngthe triggerto averylowpull weightcancause a significantsafety issueona self‐loading rifle. LWRCIdoes not suggest youadjustthetrigger. Ithas beenfactorytunedonaprecisionjig.

CAUTION: LWRCI only advocates the use of the fire control group supplied with yourweapon.Theyhavebeenthoroughlytestedthroughdroptes3ng,andenvironmental tes3ngtoensuresafeuseinthe field. Therearesingle‐stagematchtriggersonthemarket thatinouropinionareunsafeforuseonanopera3onalfirearm.

CAUTION: Installingaeermarketaccessoriesthat extend intothe trigger guardareaof theweaponarediscouragedandunnecessaryandcancauseanegligentdischarge.

2.1.6.3 ChargingHandle(8.)

TheChargingHandleonthe lee sideoftheR.E.P.R. is usedtochargethe weaponand/orretracttheBoltCarrierGroup. Itis non‐reciproca3ng.AForwardAssistorSilentBoltClosureis builtintothe ChargingHandleandis ac3vatedbydepressingtheChargingHandleKnobtoengagetheboltcarrier,thenpushingthecarrierforwardintobaoerywhile keepingthe Knobpressedin.

This control is locatedontherighthandsideoftheLowerReceiver,Adjacenttothetopleehand side of the MagazineWell. It is shielded by a cutout in the receiver so that themagazineisnot uninten3onally released. It isused torelease theMagazine CatchwhichallowstheMagazinetodropfreeorbepulledout.

CAUTION:RemovingtheMagazine does notmakethe weaponsafe.R.E.P.R.canbe firedwiththeMagazineremoved.Forinstruc3onstoCLEARtheweapon,see3.3.

2.1.6.5 BoltCatch(17.and25.)R.E.P.R.isequippedwithambidextrous boltcatchcontrols onbothlee (17.)andright (25.)sides oftheLowerReceiver.Theyareusedtoreleasethe BoltCarrierGroupfromthelockedopenposi3onor tolocktheBoltCarrierGroupbackwhenthereis a filledmagazine ornomagazineloadedintheMagazineWell.This isdonebydepressingthe lowerpor3onofeitherBoltCatchwhileretrac3ngtheChargingHandleall the waytotherear.ReturntheChargingHandle tothe forwardposi3onaeer.Pressingtheupperpaddle sec3onoftheBoltCatchwillreleasethebolt carrier groupwhichwill send it forwardintobaoery underpower of thereturnspring.

CAUTION:ReleasingtheBoltCatchwithaloadedMagazinewillloadtheweapon.

2.1.6.6 GasRegulatorTheGas Regulator adjuststhe volumeof gasdirected intothepiston.Thereare4 detentposi3ons, Closed (markedC), Suppressed (marked S), Normal (marked N) and Adverse(markedA). Themarking that is at12 o’clock,nearest thetoprail andfurthest from thebarrel indicatesthesesnginuse.Theshapeoftheknobis irregularorellip3cal allowingtheshooter to determine the posi3on of the regulator in thedark. Learn theshape of theregulator remembering the protuberant feature on the regulator knob in rela3on to alandmarkontheweaponsoyoucanfeelitsposi3oninthedark.

CAUTION:Thegasregulatorandgasblockcanbe oneofthe hooestparts oftheweapon. Ifyouhavebeenfiringtheweapon,the regulatorWILLBEHOTENOUGHTOBURNYOU.Useaflattoolonthefaceoftheregulatortoturnitifitishot.

TheClosedsesngcuts offall gas fromthepistonsystemsotheweaponwillnotcyclewhenfired.Thisisforspecificmissionuse suchasa requirementto“palm”orretainthebrass onatac3cal mission. Itcanbe usedwhenfiringsubsonicammuni3onwitha suppressorwhichguaranteesthere is nomovement of theac3onfor the quietest employment of the riflepossible.

CAUTION:Theclosedgas sesngmaybea liabilityforsomeunitsorpoorlytrainedenduserswhodonotensuretheirweaponisina func3onalmodeforself‐loading. Ifthis isthecase,LWRCI cansupply agas regulatorwithout the closedsesng. Completeweaponscan beorderedthisway.

Suppressed sesng is used in conjunc3on with Sound Suppressors to reduce gas back‐pressure caused by the suppressor. Some suppressors createmore back‐pressure thanothers andtherefore youmaynotneedtousethe suppressedsesngwithyour par3cularsuppressor. Witha suppressorontheSuppressedsesngyourweapondemonstratessignsofbeingunder‐gassed(failuretoextract,failuretolockbackonanemptymagazine)thenrunyourrifleontheN‐Normalsesng.

Follow the instruc3ons suppliedby your suppressor manufacturer for installa3on of thesuppressor,the suppressormuzzle device/mount.LWRCIhasdone extensivetes3ngwiththeLWRCI suppressor, theSurefiresuppressor,andtheAdvancedArmament suppressor. TheSurefiresuppressorsgenerallyrunintheN‐Normalsesng.

Normal sesng is thedefault sesng for non‐suppressed opera3on. This istuned to theheavy matchgrade cartridges likeM118LR or Federal GMM. Ejec3onshouldbeat the4o’clockposi3on. Ifyouarefiringhot loads,theejec3onpaoernwill movetowardthe2‐3

Adversesesngis onlyusedwhentheweaponis opera3ngsluggishlyduetoextremeand/orverylowtemperatureorverylowpressureammuni3on.

2.1.6.6 EjecAonPortCover(21.)Theejec3onport cover is spring loadedwith a closing detent. Itwillautoma3cally openwhentheBoltCarriercycles andremainopenun3l closedmanually.Ejec3onshouldalwaysbemanuallyclosedaeeracourseoffireandthesitua3onisassessedasnon‐threatening.

2.1.6.7 PusherScrews(19.)Atthefrontofthe LowerRail (6.)arethepairofPusherScrews that keepthe TopRail (5.)correctly indexedtotheLowerRail.Theyare cap3vetothe LowerRail andwill notfall out.Theknurledheadallowsthemtobefinger3ghtenedandaslotallowstheuse ofa cartridgerimorcointotorquethem3ght. Neveruse excessiveforceto3ghtenthese screws. ThereareVitonO‐ringsthatwhencompressedwillpreventthesefromvibra3ngloose.

2.1.6.8 CheekPieceAdjustment(29.)(APPLIESTOR.E.P.R.20ONLY)This knobis usedtoraise orlowerthe heightoftheCheekPiece(30.).Facingtheleeside oftheweaponwiththestocktothe right, theknob is rotatedtothe lee toraise theCheekPieceandtherighttolowerit.

2.1.6.9LengthofPullAdjustment(31.)(APPLIESTOR.E.P.R.20ONLY)This featureallows youtoop3mizeyour lengthofpull (buostocklength) ensuringperfecteye relief with your op3c and op3malcomfort and shoo3ng posi3on. Rota3ng this knobupwards usingthe sameorienta3onas above extends theBuoPlate andtheLengthofPull.Rota3ngitdownwardsclosestheBuoPlateandshortenstheLengthofPull.

Theuserwill notethatthereis greatreduc3oninfeltrecoil,andtheshooterwill be capableof faster andmore accuratefollow up shots if the rifle is properly fioedthrough properadjustmentofthesefeatures.

3.1 GeneralSafetyProcedures:

3.1.1Whenever handlinganyweapon,pointthemuzzleina safedirec3onas itassoonas youpicktheweaponup,thenCLEARthe weapon.See3.3.1to3.3.5.Ensure chamberisclear.

3.1.2Whenever handing over yourweapontoanotherperson,clear theweaponfirst andhand it over with the bolt lockedtotherear by the bolt catch. Whenreceivingaweapon from another person insist that they clear it and lock the bolt totherearbeforeaccep3ngtheweapon.Checkthe chambertoensurethe weaponisclearwhenyouaccepttheweapon.

3.1.3 Always ensureyouarefiringthecorrectcaliberammuni3onthroughyourweapon. Toensure proper func3on and safety LWRCI recommends using only factory loadedammuni3on that complies with theSpor3ng Arms andAmmuni3onManufacturer’sIns3tute(SAAMI),CommissionInterna3onalePermanente pourl'Epreuve desArmes àFeuPorta3ves (CIP),NATO,orammuni3onloadedtoU.S.Militaryspecifica3ons fortheweapon. LWRCI doesn’t guarantee your weapon’s safety or performance whenu3lizingre‐loadedorsurplusammuni3on.

3.1.4 Checkyourweapon’sboretoensureitis freefromobstruc3ons beforefiring. Intheevent that theweapon is dropped or themuzzle touches the ground, unload andensurethe weaponboreis free fromobstruc3on. Ifitis darkandthetac3cal situa3onpermits,useaflashlighttoensurethereis notanobstruc3on. Ifthetac3cal situa3oncalls for light discipline, dropa cleaning rod throughtheboretoensurethereis noobstruc3on.

3.1.5 Prior tofiringyourweapon,knowyour intendedtargetandwhatlies beyond. Ensurethat there is an adequate backstop or open space free from people or any other

3.3 ClearingYourWeapon–Unloading

3.3.1 Ensurethemuzzleis pointedin asafedirec3onatall 3mesandthroughthecourseofunloadingtheweapon.

3.3.2 Remove theMagazine (if present) by depressing the MagazineRelease and eitherallowingittodropfreeorpullingitout.

3.3.3 DepressandholdthebaseoftheBoltCatchwithtriggerfinger.

3.3.4 GrasptheChargingHandlefirmlywiththesupporthandandpull firmly all thewaytotherear.ReleasetheChargingHandle.Theboltcarriershouldremainlockedback.

3.3.5 Rolltheriflecounterclockwisetovisuallyconfirmthatthereis noroundorcasinginthechamber.Iflightcondi3onsarelow,physicallyinspectchamber.

3.3.6 Uponconfirma3onthatthechamberis clear,depress the paddleoftheBoltCatch.Theboltcarriershouldmoveforwardandgointobaoery.

3.3.7 Whilepoin3ngtheweaponinasafe direc3on,depresstheTriggertorender itinert.Your Selector Lever shouldnot goto safe, indica3ng that thehammer is nolongercocked.

3.3.8 Close the Ejec3on Port Cover. Your rifle is now in CondiAon 4 and ready foradministra3vehandling.

CAUTION: Do notdepend on the factthatnochambered roundwasejectedon clearing.You can sAll have a live round in the chamber that did not extract/eject because yourextractor was broken, or the case rim was ripped through by the extractor. VISUALLYinspectthechambertoensureitisclear.

3.4.5 Depressthetopserratedpor3onoftheboltcatch. Theboltcarriershouldspringfullyforwardandlockintobaoery.

3.4.6 Withtheselectorleveron“SAFE”depressthetrigger.Thehammershouldnotfall.

3.4.7 Rotatetheselectorleverto“SEMI”anddepressthetrigger.Thehammershouldfall.

3.4.8 Charge the weapon by grasping the charging handle, pulling it firmly to therear andreleasing.Depressandholdthetrigger.Thehammershouldfall.

3.4.9 Con3nueholdingthetriggerwhilechargingtheweaponagain. Release the triggerandyoushould hear a clickas thedisconnector disengages. Thehammer should remaincocked.

3.5 Pre‐FireInspecAon(PFI)

PerformthefollowinginspecAonpriortoeachfiringsession.StartyourPFIwithyourweaponinCondiAon4.

3.5.1 Breaktheweapondown“shotgunstyle”by pullingout the Take DownPin(26.)andpivo3ngtheLowerReceiverdownfromtheUpperReceiver.

3.5.2 RemovetheBoltCarrier Groupby pullingtheChargingHandle backall the way andgraspingtherearoftheBoltCarrier.

3.5.3 Inspect the BoltandBoltcarrier ensuringthe following; the BoltCamPiniscorrectlyinstalledwiththearrowfacing forward; ifapplicable, theFiring Pin Retainer is fullyseated in its hole. Ensure thefiring pin hole is unobstructed and the Firing Pin isproperly installed(tapthebooomof theBoltCarrier firmly against thepalmofyourhand,theFiringPinshouldstayinplace).

3.5.4 Visually inspect the boreof the weapon to ensure it is unobstructed (in low lightcondi3onsphysicallyinspecttheborebypassingacleaningrodthroughit).

3.5.5 Re‐assemble the weaponinser3ngtheBolt Carrier Group. Pivot theLowerReceiverbackuptotheUpperReceiverandpressintheRearTakeDownPin.

3.5.6 EnsurethattheGasRegulatorisintheappropriatedetentposi3onasdictatedbyuse.

3.5.7 Inspect the Magazines for the following: EnsuretheMagazines are cleanandnotdented(par3cularly the feedlips). Ensure theMagazine Followermoves freelywithinthemagazine bodyandreturnsunderits ownspringtensionwithoutbinding.DoNOToilorotherwiselubricatemagazines.OnlyuseMagazinesrecommendedbyLWRCI.

3.5.8 Inspecttheammuni3onprior tofiring.Ensure ammuni3onisfactorymanufacturedincompliancewith SAAMI, CIP and/or U.S. MIL‐Spec/STANAG specifica3ons. Ensureammuni3onis thecorrectcaliberforthe weapon.Ensure ammuni3onis clean.Donotoilorotherwiselubricateammuni3on.Donotoverloadmagazines.

4.0 OperaAon

4.0.1 ChoiceofAmmuniAonAlthoughR.E.P.R. is designedtocyclewitha broadspectrumofammuni3on, it isop3mizedfor usewithheavy bullet loads.Witha 1‐in‐10 inch rate of rifling, thebarrels are designed to stabilize heavy bullets up to 190 grains. The designammuni3on is M118LRMatchammuni3onwiththe175 grainSierraMatch Kingbullet.Thefactoryrecommends theuseofthis ammuni3onorsimilarloads suchastheFederal GoldMedal Match(GMM)andBlackHills 175grMatch.Itis suggestedtouseammuni3onwithbullets heavierthan168grains forpeakaccuracy.M80Ballandequivalentwillnotrealizethetrueaccuracypoten3aloftheR.E.P.R.

4.1 LoadingaMagazine

The R.E.P.R. was designed to use commonmagazines with other 7.62X51mm NATO riflescurrentlyinuse. SR‐25andM110magazines will workfromKnight’sArms Companyalongwithanymagazinethatwas paoernedaeertheoriginalAR10paoern.ModernAR10magazines byArmalite do not follow this paoern and will not work. Magazines from DPMS will work,howeverM118LRammuni3onistoolongtoreliablyfeedinthesemagazines.

4.1.1 GrasptheMagazinefirmlyinyoursupporthand.

4.1.2 Pushthe roundunderthe magazine feedlips.Thebase ofthecartridgeshouldbeall thewaybackagainstthebackofthemagazine.

4.1.3 Repeatun3lthemagazineisfilled.DONOTOVERFILLthemagazine.

4.7 OperaAngCycleThefollowingdescribestheopera3ngcycleoftheR.E.P.R.insemi‐automa3cmode.

Firing

WhentheTriggerisdepressed,thesearisdisengagedfromtheHammerallowingthehammertobedrivenbytheHammerspringtostriketheFiringPin.TheFiringPinstrikestheprimer,firingthechamberedround.

Unlocking

Propellantgassesaretappedoffatthegasportandtraveltroughthegasblocktothenozzle.Thisgasdrivesthepistoncupbackfromthenozzle, inturndrivingtheopera3ngrodtostrikethecarrierkey.Thisini3ates the rearward movement (recoil stroke) of the Bolt CarrierGroup. Asthe Bolt Carrier travelsto the rear, theCamPin rotatestheBolt,thusunlockingitfromthebarrelextension.

ExtracAonAstheBoltCarrierGroupcon3nuesthroughtherecoilstroketheexpendedcartridgeisdrawnfromthechamberbytheextractor.

EjecAonOncetheexpendedcartridgeisclearofthechamberitisejectedfromtheweaponbythespringloadedEjector.

Cocking

Semi ‐As the Bolt Carrier Group con3nues to the rear it cocks theHammer which is ini3ally retained by the Disconnector. As theshooter disengages the trigger, the Disconnector releases thehammer allowing it to be capturedby theTrigger (this isknown asReset).Auto ‐ As thebolt carrier group con3nuesto the rear it cocks thehammerwhich isretainedbytheautosear.Concurrentlytherearofthe bolt carrier will trip the auto sear releasing the hammer andfiring the round. When the trigger is depressed and held, theweaponwillcyclecon3nuouslythroughthefiringsequenceun3lthetriggerisreleasedorthemagazineisdepleted.When the user releases the trigger, the hammer is caught by thehammer/triggerengagementsurfaceanddoesnotallowtheweapontofireagainun3lthetriggerispulled.

Feeding

The recoil stroke concludeswhen the Buffer halts theBolt CarrierGroup. The Recoil Spring, compressed during the recoil stroke,drivestheboltcarrier groupforwardcommencingthecounter‐recoilstroke.AstheBoltCarrierreturnsforwardthenextroundisstrippedfromthetopoftheMagazineand directed intothechamberbythefeedramps.

ChamberingAstheboltcarriergroupcon3nuesthecounter‐recoilstroketheroundisseatedinthechamber.

LockingAstheboltcarriergroupcompletesthecounterrecoilstroketheboltrotates,lockingintothebarrelextension.Theboltcarriergroupisnowagaininbaoery.

6.0 MaintenanceMaintainingyourweaponproperlyrequiresnotonlyimmediate preandpostfiringcleaningbutreplacement of consumable parts to ensure 100% reliability and accuracy of the productthroughoutits lifespan. Keepanaccuratelogofeveryroundfiredthroughtheweapon. Evenwri3ngdownaes3mateofhowmanyrounds werefiredona givendaywillhelpyoutoperformscheduledmaintenanceonthesystem. LWRCIhasdevelopeda“BlackBox” pistolgrip thatallows youtodownloadinforma3onfromyourrifledependingonthesoewareyouchoose fortherifle. Itcangiveyouanexact roundcount, itcanprovide adateand3mestampforeveryroundfiredandcanevensuggestwhensomethingneedstobereplacedbasedonthe roundcount. Pleasecall LWRCIifyouareinterestedinthis technology. This manualisanOperatorsmanual anddoes not cover replacementofpartsoutside of thosethat canbereplacedonafieldstrip. Itis encouragedthatonlya cer3fiedarmorershoulddisassemble andreplace partsbeyondthosethatareremovedina fieldstrip. LWRCI canconductmaintenanceforyouwithasame day turn‐around if you choose. Thewhole weapon will be inspected and gauged,consumableswillbereplaced,itwillbetestfired,cleanedandreturnedtoyouwithareport.

6.1 Disassembly(FieldStrip)Frequency: Theweaponshouldbe disassembledtoits major groups andassemblies whenconduc3ngRou3ne Operator Level Maintenance(asdeterminedby unit). ForconveniencetheUpper Receiver can remainconnected to the Lower Receiver (weaponbrokendown“shotgunstyle”)duringRou3ne OperatorLevel Maintenance.Layyourparts outfromleetorightinthesequence theyare removedfromtheweaponsothatuponreassembly,youjustworkrighttolee. This habitwill alsohelpifyouhave tostripyourweaponandreassembleinthedark.Thesequenceisasfollows:

6.1.1 Cleartheweapon(refertoSec3on3.3ofthismanual)andensuretheweaponisCondiAon4.YourBoltCarriermustbeinbaoery.

6.1.2 Pull out the Take Down Pin bypushingfromthe leeside oftheLower Receiver to start the pinmoving then pull out from theright. A dowel or point of acartridge canaidinthis. Thepindetentwillbes3ffona newrifle.This will get easier as you useanddisassembleyourR.E.P.R.

6.1.3 PivottheLowerReceiverun3l itis 90° to the Upper Receiver.You may opt to remove thefront take down pin anddisconnect theupper from thelower completely for ease ofcleaning.

6.1.4 Remove the Bolt Carrier Groupby pulling theCharging Handleback all the way and graspingthe rear of the Bolt Carrierremoving it from the receiver.Return the Charging Handle toitsforwardposi3on.

6.1.5 RemovetheBufferandBuffer/RecoilSpringbydepressingthebufferdetentandpullingthebufferandspringfromthelowerreceiver.Separatethebufferand

6.4.5 Scrub the face of the bolt with a GP brush dipped in cleaning solvent or CLP.ThoroughlywipeawayanyremainingcleaningsolventorCLPwitharag.

6.4.5 Apply a light coat of lubricant to the interior of the upper receiver, buffer spring,compensatorandejec3onportcover.

6.5.6 ScrubtheGasPistonCupinsideandoutwithadrybrasswirebrush.Applyalightcoatoflubricanttotheoutsideofthepistoncupandwipeoffanyexcesslubricantorresiduewitharag.

(NOTE:Asageneralprac3ce,donotintroduceanylubricantintotheinsideofthepistoncupasthismaycausefoulingwhenfired).

6.5.7 Iftheweaponistobestoredforalongerperiodof3me,placealightcoa3ngofCLPontheNozzleandreassemble.Theusercanwipeofftheexcesspriortofiring.Itisinconsequen3altofunc3oniftheuserdoesnotwipeoffexcessCLPpriortofiring,butitmaycausesomesmokeasthelubricantburnsoffwithanaggressivefiringschedule.

6.5.8 ScrubtheOpera3ngRodAssemblywithaGPbrushdippedincleaningsolventorCLP(thesewillbeverycleantostartwithastheyarenotdirectlyexposedtocarbon).ThoroughlywipeawayanyremainingcleaningsolventorCLPwitharag.ApplyalightcoatoflubricanttotheOpera3ngRodAssembly.

6.6.1 When opera3ng in adverse environments LWRC Interna3onal recommends u3lizingshootthroughmuzzlecoversandguncovers(iftac3calsitua3onpermits).

6.6.2 Pay par3cular aoen3onthat the Ejec3onPort Cover isclosedat all 3mes whennotfiringyourweapon.IfweaponsmustbegroundedstuffaragintotheMagazineWell.

6.6.3 Inblowingsandorsnowcondi3onsconductfrequentfunc3onschecks ofyourweaponandtakeeveryopportunitytoremovesandor snowfromyourweapon. Asmallpaintbrushis highly recommendedforthistask. Blowsandfromweaponwithcompressedairifavailable.

6.6.4 Do not lubricate the interior of the Upper Receiver or exterior of the Gas Pistoncomponents when opera3ng under field condi3ons in extremely sandy or snowyenvironments.

6.6.5 Whenperforming rou3nemaintenanceremovetheTopRail andbrushany sandorsnowfromthepistoncomponents.

6.6.6 Applypointlubrica3onassparinglyaspossible.

6.7 SpecialArcAcEnvironmentConsideraAons

6.7.1 Keepweapons at ambientoutdoor temperaturewheneverpossibleanduse anarc3cratedlubricant.

6.7.2 Ifweapons mustbe broughtintoawarmarea,allowweaponstowarmuptotheroomtemperature,detail disassemble andperformDetailed Maintenance. Pay par3cularaoen3on to removing all condensa3on from weapon before going back into coldtemperatures.

6.7.3 Even if weapons are kept outdoors, temperatures can fluctuate above and belowfreezing causing condensa3on to develop then freeze in the weapon’s movingcomponents.Performfrequentfunc3onscheckstoensureweaponisoperable.

6.7.4 If weapon is dropped in the snow clean it immediately. At a minimum break the weapondownshotgunstyleandremoveany snowfromtheupper receiver andboltcarrier.Cleansnowfromgaspistoncomponents.Ensureboreisclear.

6.7.5 Ifyourweapondoes freezeshutDONOTFIREITtoun‐jamtheweapon.Warmweaponwithbodyheat ora campstove (holdweaponat least eight inchesaboveflame andremovemagazine prior towarming)un3lun‐jammedthencleanor fireimmediately.Keepmuzzlepointedinasafedirec3on.

6.8 LubricantsandCleaners

TheR.E.P.R. is compa3blewithall standardU.S.MilitaryandNATOspecifiedsmall armslubricants and cleaners. The manufacturer recommends SLIP 2000 EWL (extremeWeapons Lubricant).Ifchangingfromone lubricanttoanothercleanoffoldlubricantbyscrubbingpartswithsolvent,e.g.Simple GreenorSLIP2000CarbonKiller. Toremovecopper fouling, LWRCI suggests Sweet's 7.62 Bore Cleaning Solvent. Followmanufacturerinstruc3onsforsafeuse.

LubricaAonTerms:

LightCoat‐Alightcoatoflubricantis notreadilyvisible totheeye.Applylubricantandwipeoffexcesswithacleancloth.

ModerateCoat‐Amoderate coatoflubricantshouldbe just visible totheeye. Applylubricantdirectlytopartandspreadorapplywithabrush,clothorfinger.

PointLubricaAon‐Lubrica3onappliedtopivotpoints orrecessedparts. Applyacoupleofdropstothepivotpointandworkpartbackandforthtodistributelubricant.

6.9 RailMaintenanceandNotes

TheR.E.P.R.features a freefloateduserconfigurable rail system.The rail doesnotcomeintocontactwithanypartofthebarrel allowingtheuse ofaccessories,a bipodor therailitselfasa support surface withoutaffec3ngthe pointofimpactofthe bullet. Therailhas a monolithicprofile 12o’clockrail thatperfectlymates totherail onthe upperreceiverallowingthestackingofsigh3ngdevices.The3,6,and9o’clockrail sec3onsareuserconfigurable. Youcaninstall one ofseveral availablerail sec3ons toanypor3onoftherail tube dependentonwhereyouusuallymountyouraccessories.This was donetocut the weight of the rifle, and make the user interface with the system morecomfortable.

6.9.1 Thereis norequiredrail maintenance otherthanprotec3ngtheM1913Pica3nnyrail sec3ons thatremainexposedtodamagewitharail orladderpanel.TheR.E.P.R.railsare setuptousewithLWRCI Rail SkinzorUSGI issuerail panels.AnyPica3nny1913standardrailpanelwillwork.

6.9.2 There are several configura3ons of rails and sling adapter rail sec3onsavailable.Please see the LWRCI Web‐Store to order addi3onal rail sec3ons, lengths andconfigura3ons.Toinstall arail sec3on,usethe suppliedAllenheadmachinescrews(they have pre‐applied thread‐locker already applied to them) and match theinstalla3onholeson the rail sec3on to the appropriate holes in the rail system.Install thescrews usinga5/64thAllenwrenchtonomorethan15inch/lbs. 6.9.3 ThebarrelnutoftheR.E.P.R.alsoacts as the rail mount. Itisnotrecommendedyouremovetherail oftheR.E.P.R.as there isnorequirementtodosoattheoperatorlevel.

6.9.4 TheR.E.P.R. comeswith a polymer heat shieldhand‐guard. Several lengths areavailable fromLWRCIontheLWRCIWeb‐Store. They areinstalledwith5/64thAllenheadmachinescrewsineachholeinthebooomofthehand‐guard.

6.9.2 Thereare small C‐Clips thatmakethepusher screwcap3ve. Inthe rareevent thisbecomesdislodgedor lost, astandardC‐Clipfor anM16 ejec3onport rodcanbeused. Withthe top rail removed, screw inthepusher screw all the way. Withneedlenosepliers, install theC‐Cliptothegroovetowardthenoseofthepusherscrew.

6.9.3 Duringnormal use,therail willbecomefouledwithcarbonandsomecopperresiduefromjacketedammuni3on. If lee, thecopperwill turnablue/greencolor.This ispurely cosme3candwillnotadverselyaffecttheweapon. Youcanremoveitwithacopper solvent. Youshouldalways inspect the insideofthe toprail toensure thefoulingdoesnotinterferewithpistonopera3on.
