What is IELTS? IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is used as the language of communication. Enrolment: As places are limited, candidates are advised to enrol in good time before the exam by submitting the application form, one passport size photo and payment for €238.00. We strongly recommend that you register online at least 6-8 weeks prior to the test date. Please note, once the registration is closed, the test will no longer appear on the British Council on-line registration system. You will receive an email approximately 7 days before the test date confirming the venue for your test and the timetable.

Candidates resident outside Milan can enrol and pay on line: https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/italy Requests for refunds are granted only in case of sickness and may be made up until 5 days after the test date and must be accompanied by a medical certificate. Requests for transfer to a subsequent session may be granted only once. It is not possible to reimburse candidates who enrol for more than one session at a time.
