    Could , can , would , should are modal verbs.

    They do not add s in the third person singular.

  • COUNT NOUNS

    Countable nouns are easy to recognize. They are things that we can count. For example: notebook". We can count notebooks. We can have one, two, three or more

    notebooks. Here are some more countable nouns:

    dog, cat, animal, man, person

    bottle, box, litre

    coin, note, dollar

    cup, plate, fork

    table, chair, suitcase, bag.

    Countable nouns can be singular or plural:

    My cat is playing.

    My cats are hungry.

  • COUNT NOUNS

    Use a with a singular count noun.

    A desk

    Use there s ( there is) with a singular count noun:

    Theres a boy in the living room.

    There is peace in my heart.

    Use there are with plural count nouns:

    There are four bedrooms in this house.

    There are some old books on the shelf.

    There are some fridges on the second floor.

  • NON-COUNT NOUNS

    A non-count noun is a noun that names a thing you cannot count.

    E.g:

    Music, air, information, bread, water, oil, salt, etc

    Use theres ( there is ) with non-count nouns.

    Theres water on the floor.

    Theres some meat on the plate.

    Theres juice in the glass.

    Do not use a or an before a non-count noun.
