THE COMPETITION VENUE • VALLETTE DI OSTELLATO

The competition will take place on the Canal District Bando Vallelepri " Vallette" in Ostellato,

Ferrara. Address: Via Argine Mezzano, 1, 44020 Ostellato FE, Italia Telephone:+39 0533 680757 Coordinate: +44° 52' 45.22"N +11° 38' 42.18"E

The canal's stretch that will host the official trainings and the competition of the 36th Coarse

Angling World Championship for Club is located close to the village of Ostellato.

The competition venue is about 3.0 km long and easily accessible by roads and driveways.

The depth ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 meters for the whole extension of the competition venue

mentioned above.

The prevalent fish species is bream with a size ranging from 50/60 grams to 3 Kg. Carps and also

carp mirror of considerable size are present as well as crucian carps, catfishes, eels, pikes,

perches, grass carps.

Wels catfish will not be deemed valid, hence they shall not be presented for weighing.

The host town of this event is Ostellato, located in the province of Ferrara, about 40 Km far from

the main town of Ferrara.

The nearest airport is in Bologna, the most important city of the Emilia Romagna region, about 80

Km far from the town of Ostellato.

To reach the town of Ostellato from Bologna you should travel through the A13 highway towards

Padova and leave the toll gate at Ferrara Sud, go forward and take the junction that leads from

Ferrara towards Porto Garibaldi (RA8), up until the gate to Ostellato.

Other airports near Ostellato are Verona, Venice and Rimini .

The Opening Ceremony will be held in the town center of Ostellato, easily accessible for all the

teams.

During the event, all around the city of Ostellato, several signs will address the participants to the

competition area.

OPENING CERIMONY AND PRESENTATION OF THE TEAMS – OSTELLATO

The opening ceremony of the Feeder Fishing World Championship will be held on Thursday, July

05, 2018 in the beautiful town of Ostellato.

All the athletes, the teams’ captains and the executive managers should reach within 05.45 pm /

06.00 pm the building "Sports Hall" address: 35B Strada Marcavallo, Ostellato City for the parade

and the judgment.

The parade will be composed of all attending teams, headed by the flag throwing men, musicians

and historical characters of the town of Ferrara.

PRIZE GIVING and CLOSING CEREMONY

It will take place at 5.30 pm on July 8, 2018 in the square of the village "Oasi Vallette di Ostellato” close to the competition venue.

THE OFFICIAL TRAINING PROGRAM

For the official trainings, the drawing and distribution of the «box» numbers for the teams will take

place on Monday July 02 at 7.00 a.m, close to the competition venue in the office of the

Organization secretariat, located at square of Tourist Village le “Vallette di Ostellato" according to

FIPS-ed, official grid. The official training will take place as follows:

from Monday, July 02 to Wednesday, July 04, 2018: from 10.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m. Thursday July 05 and Friday July 06, 2018, only from 10.00 a.m. to 02.00 p.m. All the Teams are obligated to confirm the date of their arrival at least 10 days before the date of the first training session. The Team that will be still absent on the morning of Thursday July 05, although enrolled, will be considered defeatist and automatically excluded from the Championship.

CAPTAINS MEETING

Captains’ meetings and the draw for the two days of competition, will be held at the "Vallette di

Ostellato” via Argine Mezzano 1 Ostellato.

INFORMATION

a. During the official trainings, the heavy ground baiting will be allowed only from 9:50 am to 10:00 am every day. An acoustic sign will mark this time;

b. On Friday, july 6th, compulsory trainings;

c. Baits 2.5 litres maximum, of which a maximum amount of ½ litre can be earthworms and ½ litre maximum jokers. Bloodworms only for hook;

d. Ground bait limits MAX 12 liters;

e. no minimal size;

f. Wels catfish will not be deemed valid, hence they shall not be presented for weighing.

REQUIREMENTS Don’t forget to provide yourself with: your national flag and your national anthem CD.
