Music Notes: Once a year the youth of Northwood are privileged to lead all aspects of the worship services and so you see and hear the amazing work these young people do throughout the year in our five separate musical en- sembles with youth. While most churches Northwood’s size, have very limited youth musical activities, we have two praise bands, two hand- bell choirs and a vocal choir singing in SATB (four parts). Mark Johns- ton and I (Tom Huffman) feel privileged to work with this talented bunch of young people. I hope you realize that there is a great deal of commitment required by these youth to produce what you hear today and throughout the year. Some are at church for three or more rehears- als every week. Many thanks to parents and families for support, assis- tance and transportation. “Praise the Lord! My ev’ry sin forgive as one with You I live,

Come flood this heart of mine with Your pure joy divine. Come fill my heart, I am longing for Your pow’r

Your presence and peace will be mine this very hour.

Come fill my heart with Your Spirit in this place.

Let my heart overflow with the fullness of Your grace.

Make of this heart of mine a vessel wholly Thine.

Drive dark and doubt away, O fill me, Lord, I pray.

CALL TO CONFESSION Sarah Flaherty PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Together) Almighty God, you have accepted our Lord's sacrifice for our salvation. By

your power you have raised him from the dead, and you opened the eyes of

his disciples so that they might recognize him. We humbly confess that,

while we know the story and believe it, it often has made too little differ-

ence in our lives, and at times we have been silent when we should have

spoken up and shared this great good news. Forgive us, we pray, of these

sins. Enable us today to reflect more deeply on the sacred story, that our

obedience may increase, that our service may be more joyful,

and our testimony may be more courageous. Hear us in the name of our

risen Savior. Amen.
