  • INSTALLING THE SINKIN A CUTOUT

    1. Determine the location that you would liketo mount the sink. Also drill any faucet oraccessory holes in the countertop. NOTE:The sink dimensions are shown below.

    2. Cut a mounting opening for the sink that is24 x 21.25 with 1 radius corners. Ex-tend the counter top/cabinet on the rightside 6 to accommodate the pump.

    3. Mount the sink in the cabinet cutout.

  • 4. Lift the knob off the torque tube.

    5. Unscrew the topnut and slide the rubberseal off the torque tube.

    6. Place the grating and rubber gasket in thebasket assembly hole in the sink.

    7. Reach under the sink and place the basketbody below the grating, then mount thegrating to the basket body with the fixingnut. Keep the rubber gasket centered un-der the grating, and tighten the nut onlyhand tight for now.

  • 9. Reach under the sink and place thethreaded end of the torque tube up throughthe hole in the sink. Rotate the basketbody as necessary, and route the controlcable as shown below. Make sure thatthere is no undue strain on the cablewhere it enters the torque tube and thebasket body.

    12. Tighten the locknut against the bottom ofthe sink with your fingers as far as pos-sible. It is not necessary to tighten the nutany further.

    13. Rotate the grating so that three of the sixvanes are aligned with the three vanes inthe basket body. Also make sure that therubber gasket is centered below the grat-ing, and does not protrude anywhere.

    14. Use a 5/8 socket and securely tighten thefixing nut. Use only a moderate amount ofpressure, and do not overtighten the nut.

    10. Slide the rubber seal over the end of thetorque tube, and mount and tighten thetopnut against the seal.

    15. Place the basket strainer in the gratingand turn the torque knob to raise and lowerthe strainer. The strainer is set to raiseapproximately 1/2. To adjust the height,turn the adjustment screw in the bottom ofthe strainer.

    16. Remove the compression gasket and nutfrom the basket body, and install themover the end of the drain pipe, with theshoulder of the gasket toward the nut, asshown below.

    17. Insert the end of the drain pipe into thebasket body and hand-tighten the nut.

    INSTALLING THE10-MINUTE TIMER

    1. Push one end of the plastic tubing over thesmall fitting inside the pushbutton as far asit will go.

    2. Push the free end of the plastic tubing overthe connector on the timer as far as it willgo. NOTE: If desired, cut the tubing to theproper length before you connect it.

    3. Plug the 10-minute timer into a 120 VAC,60 Hz wall receptacle. NOTE: The outletmust be capable of handling up to 15amps. The pump draws approximately 6.5amps.

  • PRODUCT OPERATIONUSING THE SINK

    1. Turn the torque knob and lower the basketstrainer.

    2. Fill the sink with water. IMPORTANT: Donot operate the pump without water in thesink, otherwise the pump could be dam-aged.

    3. Press the pneumatic On/Off pushbutton toturn the pump on. The water in the tub willbegin to circulate.

    4. Adjust the Speed Control knob to High,Medium, or Low, depending on the amountof circulation desired.

    5. Add a low-sudsing detergent, dependingon the load.

    6. Place the clothing to be cleaned into thesink.

    THE SPEED CONTROL

    The speed control is a 3-position air control thatintroduces outside air into the pump return portto reduce or increase the water flow. The Lowsetting increases the air input to reduce waterflow. The higher settings decrease the air inputto increase the water flow.

    CLEANING THE FILTER

    1. Unscrew the filter cover and remove it.

    2. Clean any lint or other debris from thescreen with running water.

    3. Replace the screen and reinstall the cover.NOTE: Do not overtighten the screw oryou will deform the cover.

    THE TIMER

    The 10-minute timer is electronically controlledand is operated by a pneumatic On/Offpushbutton. If the timer is interrupted duringthe 10-minute cycle, pressing the On/Offpushbutton will begin another 10-minute cycle.

    WATER FLOW

    Water from the sink is drawn in through the filterto the inlet port of the pump. Any air from thespeed control is drawn into the pump inlet, as

    shown in the photo below. Water is then pumpedout into the tubing that surrounds the sink shell,and flows through jets into the sink to agitatethe load.

  • COMPONENT ACCESSREMOVING THE PUMP MOTOR & DISASSEMBLING THE PUMP

    1. Disconnect the pump motor power supplycord from the 10-minute timer.

    2. If you do not have enough room under thesink to access the pump motor, removethe sink from its mounting location.

    3. Remove the two 7/16 hex-head screwsfrom the pump motor.

    Failure to do so can result in death orelectrical shock.

    WARNING NOTE: When you reconnect the inlet and outletconnectors, hand-tighten them. It is not neces-sary to use a wrench.

    7. To remove the capacitor:

    a) Remove the two screws from the coverand remove the cover.

    b) Disconnect the three wires from the ca-pacitor terminals. NOTE: The capaci-tor wiring is shown on page 5-1. Makesure to connect the wires to the propercapacitor terminals.

    5. Remove the inlet and outlet connectors.

    6. Remove the pump motor from the mount-ing platform.

    8. To remove the outlet and impeller hous-ings and rubber o-ring:

    a) Remove the four screws and hex nutsfrom the outlet housing.

    b) Use a putty knife and pry the outlethousing away from the impeller hous-ing, and remove the housing.

    d) Pull the impeller housing off the pumpand position it as shown below.

    e) Use a small screwdriver and pry theo-ring off the impeller housing.

    NOTE: If the impeller housing seal is worn,replace the housing.

    c) Use a large screwdriver and insert itinto the screw at the front of the hous-ing, then holding the impeller to keep itfrom turning, turn the screw, and re-move the impeller.

    9. To replace the impeller and impellerseal:

    a) Remove the outlet housing and impel-ler (see steps 8a through 8c).

    b) Twist and pull the impeller seal assem-bly off the impeller shaft. NOTE: Whenreplacing the impeller seal assembly,twist it onto the impeller shaft so thatthe edge is against the hub of the im-peller, as shown.

    When you install the impeller housing on thepump, position the mark on the housing atthe top, as shown below.

    Position the outlet housing as shown belowso that the four screw holes align. Use a soft-faced mallet, and tap the edges of the pumpoutlet housing into place on the impellerhousing. Be careful not to strike the outlethousing too hard, or you could crack it.

    REMOVING THE SPEED CONTROL1. Disconnect the pump motor power supply

    cord from the 10-minute timer.

    2. If you do not have enough room under thesink to access the speed control, removethe sink from its mounting location.

    3. Unclamp the tubing at the speed control.

    4. Remove the mounting nut from the speedcontrol and remove the control from thesink.
