*The angle at which the sun’s rays strike the Earth‘s surface is very important. The more direct the rays, the more energy each square unit of the surface receives and absorbs.
*The Equator receives the most consistent direct light. (the length of day and night does not change over the year)
*The North and South Pole receive the most inconsistent and indirect light (the length of day and night changes drastically over the year).
