Medium Voltage (M.V.) Cubicles are one of the key points on uninterrupted energy & operational

safety. For these purpose we manufacture 8ME-36R1 cubicles according to the IEC6271-200

standards, those can be used in industrial plants & kiosk type transformer buildings. Cubicle is

modular unit type & equipped either with vacuum type of SF6 gas type breaking system,

withdrawable handcart & metal-clad system.

Cubicle is built with 4 separate compartments; cable inlet, busbar, low voltage & breaker

compartments. By this, during a fault, only the faulty area is defected & other compartments are

protected.

Vacuum breaker technology provides long term high performance.

Easy assembly system of the cubicles & having withdrawable handcart provides fast intervention

to the breaker during a fault.

8ME series Cubicles had been designed to be used indoors. Protection level is IP4X.

Cubicle Body

It has been manufactured with 2-2, 5 mm thick galvanized metal sheets. The outer body & the base

have earthing.

Earthing System

In 8ME metal body cubicles, in order to provide security during maintenance procedures, the chassis

of the main circuit components & all the other components that requires earthing, which are

normally accessible, have been connected directly to the earthing busbar, located in the cubicle.

Each cubicles earthing busbar has been located & visible in the front side in order to have the

continuity of the earthing. If more than 1 piece of these cubicles will be used to make a plant by xing

them side by side, the earthing busbars are connected by bolts & it appears in the front of the cubicle

group. This earthing busbar then connected to the systems earthing & by this the earthing

procedure is completed.

Mimic Diagram

On the 8ME Metal Clad cubicles front panel, where control unit is located, there is a simple mimic

diagram that can easily been understood. By this the location of the cubicles main circuit

components can easily been identied.

Operational & Maintenance Safety Points

- Operation of the circuit breaker can be done only when

the door is closed.

- In order to open the door of the cubicle,

the handcart should be separated & locked on that position.- Changing of the position of the handcart from separated

position to operation can be done only when the

door is closed.

- All locks can be done only by a mechanically

working special key.

- The cubicles body is completely closed all

around on all the operation modes. The

external security is provided by this.

- When the handcart set to TEST position, inner

security is provided by the automatically

closing metal curtains.
