Master pages can be duplicated, edited, and deleted. Be careful using the based on option when creating new master pages. Why use master pages? They create consistency from page to page and designer to designer. They make sure all repeating elements are in the correct location. They save time. They can be duplicated and transferred to other documents. Object Styles Create consistency in the same manner as paragraph and character styles. Can be set up, applied, and changed globally. Can incorporate effects and paragraph styles. As you work through the chapter, you will create master pages/object libraries for one project, and object styles for another. Dont skip these sections! Summary Master pages bring continuity to a document. Override master page elements before editing on the document level. Detach an object on the document level to remove it from the master pages power. Create and label library entries to keep client accounts organized. Use object styles to make it easy to change attributes throughout a document.
