Beam Theory
• What is Beam ?– Bagian struktur yang mempunyai panjang lebih besar dari dimensi
penampangnya.– Menerima beban yang umumnya tegak lurus thd sumbu memanjang.– Beban (load) bisa terpusat (concentrated) ataupun terdistribusi
dengan panjang tertentu (distributed)

• Statically Indeterminate Beam– Continuous– Fixed– Beam fixed at one end & supported at the other end

Shear force
• Shear forces = internal forces
• Shear force = gaya geser, merupakan internal force V yang melawan besarnya gaya luar (load) --> untuk menjaga kesetimbangan arah y (Fy = 0)
• Secara numerik merupakan penjumlahan semua komponen vertikal dari gaya-gaya luar, tetapi arahnya berlawanan
