Silver Cord

• The purpose of the Silver Cord Program is to encourage students to make a contribution to their community through service/volunteer hours and to recognize those efforts.

• The award can be earned by completing 200 hours of approved community service with non-profit organizations.

• It is suggested that students complete a minimum of 50 hours of approved service activities per year

Regent Admissions Index

• A Regent Admission Index (RAI) score will be calculated for each applicant, based on the following equation:

• RAI = (2 x ACT composite score) +

(1 x high school rank) + (20 x high school grade point average) +

(5 x number of high school courses completed in the core subject areas)

*Students must have a score of 245 or higher for admission
