This Week at AUMC

SPECIAL COMMITMENT/YEAR END GIVING We are fast approaching the end of 2017. Our special commitment covers the period October 1 - December 31, 2017. This is a reminder to make your special commitment donation before year end. All donations for 2017 must be included in your offering on December 31st.

DECEMBER SERVICES We will not have a breakfast on December 31st. We will have our 9 am Worship, Sunday school at 10 am, & Casual Worship at 11 am.

WEEKLY BULLETIN Please take one bulletin each week per family. We utilize the extra bulletins by mailing to shut-ins the first of each week

after the service. We recycle all other remaining bulletins. We need to continue to monitor our expenses and this is one way

we can be good stewards at AUMC.

2018 NEWSLETTERS The AUMC Newsletters in 2018 will become church wide newsletters. We will

publish the information provided by our staff, church leaders, group chairpersons,

Sunday school classes, and all AUMC members and attendees. We ask you to

submit all information/news to the church office by email or written notice by the

17th of each month.

We would like the 2018 Officers for your groups & classes for our office records

and or newsletters. Our new Office Administrator needs you to be very responsive

to publishing our church news.

We hope the newsletters will be available on the AUMC website as our webmaster,

Mike Johnson, passed away suddenly in November.

SERVANTS NEEDED We will soon be filling very important servant roles for

2018. We need you to help by volunteering to serve in

the following areas: Acolytes, Front Porch Callers,

Nursery, Usher Supervisor/Opening person and

Worship Leaders. Please carefully consider serving in

these areas and notify the church office by email or

phone of your intent.

2018 OFFERING ENVELOPES The 2018 giving envelopes have been placed in Sunday School class-

rooms and also in the Narthex of the Sanctuary building. Please pick up

your box and begin using January 7, 2018. If you are unable to locate a

box with your name, please contact the church office.

PARSONAGE OPEN HOUSE Our parsonage family invites you to open house on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Our parsonage is located at 3511 Garrell St., Archdale, NC. You may enter the parsonage through the front door or through the garage for those who do not wish to climb the steps. We hope you make plans to come and view our beautiful parsonage.

2018 CONFIRMATION Pastor Allan will lead a Confirmation class beginning Jan. 14, 2018. This class is open to all children & youth ages 6th grade & up. We invite anyone who has not been through Confirmation to notify Pastor Allan by December 31, 2017 if you wish to enroll your child.
