Luke 7:11-17 (ESV) Soon afterward he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him. 12 As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” 15 And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. 16 Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and “God has visited his people!” 17 And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea and all the surrounding country.
Isaiah 7:14 (ESV)Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
John 1:14 (ESV)And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Revelation 21:1-4 (ESV) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

If you have chosen to become a follower of Jesus, today or many years ago, Jesus asks you to express your commitment to Him by being baptized. We would be excited to baptize you as soon as you are ready. If you would like to find out more about being baptized, just mark Baptism on a Connect card or let someone know at one of our Guest Centers in the lobby.
how to receive God’s Christmas Gift > 3 simple steps
1. Admit your condition before God. For all have sinned and fall short of
the glory of God. Romans 3:23
2. Believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only solution to your condition.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
3. Choose to follow Christ as your Savior and Lord. “I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who
sent me has eternal life and will not be judged; but has crossed over from death to life.” John 5:24
Dear God, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to earth. I believe Jesus was who He said He was and proved it by rising from death. I want to discover and begin following Your plan and purpose for my life. I want to get to know You personally. Thank You, Jesus Christ, for dying for me and forgiving all my sins. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for Your free gift of eternal life.
US GOD
US GOD
US GOD
If you have made a recent decision to follow Jesus with your life, you have chosen to receive God’s greatest gift! We want to celebrate with you and help you to “unwrap” this gift and enjoy it to the fullest. Please stop by one of the Guest Centers to pick up a gift packet with resources and a note from Pastor Glenn to help you go forward in your new life with Jesus.

Michele Murphy x3100, [email protected]
A generous donor has offered a “Matching Grant” for the remainder of the year; donations of any size will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $15,000. That’s a total of $30,000 to benefit New Community Academy as we minister to students so they can learn to love learning again. Shoeboxes wanted for Mexicali KidsNancy x3014, [email protected]
Open your heart to Christ in Mexicali as impoverished children discover the treasures you have lovingly placed inside a box in celebration of our Savior’s birth. Shoebox Christmas gifts are an important tool that our partner churches in Mexico use in outreach to their neighbors. Decorate a white cardboard shoebox from the Global Impact Joy table in the lobby. Fill it with goodies for a boy or a girl, attach a corresponding gift tag and return it to the church by December 16. Let us know if you want to help drive gifts down on Saturday, December 19. A passport is required.
Men’s Breakfast and Classic Car ShowSamantha x3006, [email protected]
Men, we’re having another Breakfast/Classic Car Show on Saturday, January 16 and we need CARS – CLASSIC CARS … so, if you have one and would like to share it with the rest of us, please contact the church office and let us know! Also, do you have a friend who has one of these beauties and you’ve been trying to get them to come to church … bring them too!
Fresh Food from the FarmNancy x3014, [email protected]
We work with Inland Valley Hope Partners to bring farm fresh food to the hungry in our area in two ways: Firstly, Purpose Church hosts the weekly Farmer’s Market each Saturday from 7:30-11:30am where you can find fresh picked fruits and vegetables as well as deliciously fresh breads, nuts, honey and flowers. Seniors and low income shoppers can double their purchase up to $10 when they utilize their SSA, SSI or SSDI benefits at the market. Secondly, Amy’s Farm now supplies fresh fruits and vegetables through their 60-bed community garden. Green-thumb volunteers are needed at monthly harvest and sowing days. The next volunteer orientation will be this Saturday, December 19, at 4pm. Sign up at their website: inlandvalleyhopepartners.org or call 909-622-3806 x108.
Winter Clothing NeedsNancy x3014, [email protected]
As the days and nights get colder, our Clothing Ministry is running low on warm clothing like coats, hoodies, gloves, beanies, scarves, closed-toe shoes, and umbrellas. They also need men’s pants and children’s clothing sizes 5-14. Please bring donations to the office or drop off in our orange bin or white van in front of the office.
Chickens, Piglets, and Goats, Oh My!Nancy x3014, [email protected]
Want a wonderful way to win the world? What about giving a way to work to feed a family? You can do this through the Global Alternative Christmas Giving Catalog available in the lobby. With a simple gift of animals, fruit or coffee saplings, or a fish pond, you can both feed a family and help them earn money to send their children to school. Education is the key to transforming the world. Help educate national pastors in Mexico, Costa Rica, India, Latvia, Philippines, Turkey or Lebanon to transform souls for Christ.
