Overview

Mission: 94th EN BN deploys a horizontal construction platoon (+) to Laredo, TX O/A 29JAN10 IOT improve a 0.88 mile length of road with cut/fill operations, caliche, and proper drainage; and redeploys to Fort Leonard Wood, MO O/A 07MAR10 IOT support the Department of Homeland Security’s mission on the US-Mexico Border.

Scope of Work: • 0.88 mile of 24’ wide, all-weather patrol road• 3 concrete low-water crossings• 250 feet of guard rail, 19 road signs, 40 linear feet of pipe gate, post and cable

barricades• Over 1000 linear feet of drainage ditches

METL trained:

1. Deploy personnel by air, quartering party operations.

2. Road construction: Clearing, grubbing, cut/fill, spreading material, shaping material, compaction.

3. Reporting procedures, construction progress tracking.
