9500 SERIES EXIT DEVICES

Exit devices for interior and exterior doors shall be 9500 series made from heavy gauge steel and shall meet the requirements of ANSI A156.3, Grade 1. The touch pad exit device shall have a 2 3/4“ (70mm) backset (retrofit 161 door prep), shall project no more than 2 1/2“ (64mm) from the door surface and permit easy installation on either wood or hollow metal doors with moderate to high traffic. The rim mounted exit device shall be non-handed, field sizable while the vertical mounted exit device shall be handed but field reversible and sizable. On non-fire labelled doors, dogging of the exit device shall be permitted with the use of a hex key. The exit device shall be supplied with stainless steel latch bolt, stainless steel springs and all the necessary mounting fasteners. OPTIONAL: All 9500 series exit devices shall have a wide variety of exterior trim options. The 9500FV & 9500PV model exit devices shall have top and bottom surface mounted vertical rods. The 9500FL & 9500PL model exit devices shall have a top surface mounted vertical rod. The 9500FL model exit device shall also have an auxiliary fire latch.

1400 SERIESMORTISE EXIT DEVICES

Exit devices for narrow to wide stile aluminum doors with moderate traffic shall be 1400 series, made from high tensile strength aluminum alloy material and shall project no more than 2 3/4” (70mm) from the door surface. The exit device shall be supplied with all necessary mounting fasteners for 1 3/4” (44mm) door thickness. Dogging of the exit device shall be provided with the use of an allen-key. The rim exit device shall be handed but field reversible. The vertical exit device shall be non-handed concealed vertical top and bottom rod mounting type, capable of accommodating 36” (914mm) door width and 84” (2134mm) door height. The rim exit device, capable of accommodating 36” (914mm) or 42” (1067mm) door widths shall be supplied with a heavy-duty deadlatch. The deadlatch shall be of steel construction with 1 1/8” (28.6mm) backset, adjustable mounting posts, anodized aluminum round faceplate and stainless steel deadlatch. OPTIONAL: Cylinder mounting kit available for vertical concealed rod applications.

SELECTION GUIDE

Exit devices for narrow to wide stile aluminum doors with moderate traffi c shall be 1100 series made from high tensile strength aluminum alloy material. The rim type crossbar exit device shall be handed, fi eld sizable, and shall project no more than 4 5/8“ (118mm)

from the door surface. Dogging of the exit device shall be permitted with the use of a slotted key or outside cylinder. The exit device shall be supplied with all the necessary mounting fasteners. OPTIONAL: The 1185 exit device shall have a non-handed concealed vertical rod. The 1100 series exit device shall be capable to accommodate a maximum 48“ (1220mm) contoured aluminum extruded crossbar.
