Recording capability of the previous generation DVRs are limited at D1 (720×480) resolution. There are many 960H cameras on the market, but the previous generation DVR just won’t take a full advantage of the extra pixels from them. The new DVR series takes to the whole new level of security recording performance by fully supporting 960H resolution. 960H(960×480) resolution is one of the wide-screen formats and it covers more blind spots than the regular 4:3 aspect ratio format.
