After serious deliberations amongst the members of the MGH that took place last Thursday, the members of the Moetzes decided to reject the new Draft Law proposals and ordered the Knesset members from the UTJ party to oppose the law proposal that was prepared by the special committee of the Defence Ministry. They also ordered that in case the law will be passed in Knesset they should withdraw from the coalition. Regarding an alternative law, a decision will be taken at a later date. Continued on page 3 Shaya Steinberg A huge gathering assembled in Stamford Hill this week to pour out their hearts in tefillah for the retention of traditional chinuch in the UK, as it faces an unprecedented onslaught from Government education proposals. Around seven thousand souls converged on the shul and grounds of Beis Hamedrash Torah Eitz Chaim, ‘69’ Lordship Road, for the Atzeres. The Beis Medrash had loudspeakers installed, as did the courtyard where the proceedings were led, and there was also an overflow into nearby Arbor Court.
