Select the template with the name that begins “Use the rolling credits slide template . . .” Preview the slide thumbnail. 6. Click the Download button. 7. Observe the Downloading Template dialog box. If the Microsoft Service Agreement displays, click the I Accept button, and then click Download. 1. Start PowerPoint, and then from your student files, open p08_Planning_Master.

2. On the File tab, click Save As. Navigate to your PowerPoint Chapter 8 folder, and thenSave the presentation as Lastname_Firstname_p08_Planning_Master

3. Be sure that you are connected to the Internet. On the File tab, click New.

4. Under Available Templates and Themes, in the Office.com Templates search box, typerolling credits and press J.

5. Select the template with the name that begins “Use the rolling credits slide template . . .”Preview the slide thumbnail.

6. Click the Download button.

7. Observe the Downloading Template dialog box. If the Microsoft Service Agreement displays, click the I Accept button, and then click Download. If a User Account Control dialog box displays, click Yes to download the ActiveX Control, and then click Continue.

8. With the new presentation displayed, on the File tab, click Save As and navigate to your PowerPoint Chapter 8 folder, and then Save it as Lastname_Firstname_p08_Planning_Credits Compare your screen with Figure 1.

The presentation contains one slide with a Title Slide layout that has been customizedto create a rolling-credits effect.

9. If necessary, in the pane that contains the Slides and Outline tabs, select the Slide 1 thumbnail. In the Slides/Outline pane, click the Play Animations star to view the animation added to the slide. On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Copy .

10. Close the rolling credits presentation. If you are prompted to save changes, click No.

11. In the Lastname_Firstname_p08_Planning_Master presentation, display Slide 4. On theHome tab, in the Clipboard group, click the Paste button to insert the rolling credits slideas Slide 5.

12. Display Slide 5. On the Design tab, in the Background group, select Hide BackgroundGraphics.

13. On Slide 5, select all of the white text, beginning with Add Name Here and ending withOther Role, and press X.

14. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the Columns button , and then clickOne Column.

15. With the insertion point still in the text placeholder, type the following, pressing J twotimes after each name.

17. With the Rolling Credits placeholder selected, on the Format tab, in the Arrange group,click the Send Backward button.

18. Click a blank area of the slide so that no placeholders are selected. Click to the left of Thishas been a production to select the text placeholder. In the selected placeholder, select thetext <teacher’s name> class from <School>, and then type the City of Aspen Falls

19. Click the Slide Show button to view the presentation. Compare your screen with Figure 3.
